The aim of the contract was to capture reproducing asp by electrofishing and tag fish individually using individual marking technique (PIT-tags). Estimate of asp reproductive population in the Švihov Reservoir was performed on the basis of mark-recapture methods. Furthermore, the length and weight increments were computed for recaptured asp individuals. Tagged individuals were monitored using passive telemetry systems on the tributary of Švihov Reservoir.
Lost in Translation - Comparison of Czech translations of The Da Vinci Code
Vébrová, Lucie ; Janovec, Ladislav (advisor) ; Holanová, Radka (referee)
Bachelor thesis describes the problems of translation experience which are then specified and analyzed in text translation of the novel The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. It focuses mainly on proper names, anagrams, puzzles, riddles and puns, substitutions, terms, idioms, neologisms, supplemented by information beyond the original, omissions from original text, units conversions, cultural differences, formality and informality and last but not least, the mistakes in translation.
Pivovarnictví v ČR po roce 1989 - globalizace versus ekonomická lokalizace
The bachelor's thesis discusses the economic globalization and the economic localization and their influence on the development of the brewing industry in the Czech republic after 1989. These two above mentioned processes are described in this paper, where the emphasis is placed on basic manifestations of economic globalization and economic localization in the Czech brewing industry. Economic globalization has an impact on industrial breweries in the Czech republic most of which are owned by transnational corporations. Economic localization represents relatively new trend in the industry manifested by the establishment of microbreweries. Further of the analysis of the breweries in the Czech republic was done from available data and information where factors of the economic globalization and the economic localization are highlighted. Data of industrial breweries and microbreweries in sectional years 1989, 2000 and 2015 were used for the analysis.
Disperzní a letová aktivita pakomárů stojatých vod (Diptera: Chironomidae)
I first review the significance of dispersal for individuals and populations including the role of the most significant environmental drivers on separate phases of dispersal. Emphasis is put on aquatic insects inhabiting small standing waters. The following manuscript summarizes a quantitative study of diel and seasonal flight patterns of adult Chironomidae in the Cep II sandpit in southern Bohemia. It provides one of the first comprehensive treatments of the effect of weather conditions and seasonality on the flight activity of adult Chironomidae, phenology of most common species and differences between terrestrial and aquatic species.
The report on the asp and spined loach populations’ status in SCI – valley reservoirs.

The aim of the ichthyological survey was to assess the status of reproductively active population of asp (Leuciscus aspius) in the SCI (site of community importance) Želivka (Švihov Reservoir) and spined loach (Cobitis elongatoides) in the SCI Nová Říše (Nová Říše Reservoir).
Dispersal and flight activity of aquatic insects: mechanisms and consequences for community assembly.
Water insects represent the considerable part of the freshwater communities. One of the most spectacular ability of those organisms is dispersion among various localities. The understanding of the dispersion mechanisms is of the key importance for unhiding the basic ecological and evolutionary processes such as colonization or maintaining high diversity patches. The aim of this thesis is to summarize findings about the dispersion and its main drivers. The experimental part deals with the influence of environmental factors on the flying activity of the water insects.
Financial literacy
Vébrová, Lucie ; Půlpánová, Stanislava (advisor)
Bachelor work describes pivotal documents approved by government, that are instrumental like platform to raising level of financial literacy and it is in the Czech republic. The work analyses current financial knowledge between Czech people based on two approaches -- on objective test and on subjective evaluation. The work also deals with analysis of financial literacy of students on basic schools and it evaluates available literature from area of financial education.
