The Definition of community school concept in the Czech educational system

This dissertation is designed as a theoretical research study, whose aim is to explore the possibilities of mapping and development of the community aspect of schools. This field of study is still relatively unexplored. The goal of this dissertation is to outline theoretically the concept of a Community school, and to stress the change of paradigm of current education and focus on how the role of school changes in current society. The dissertation also focuses on theoretical aspects of school perception and current scientific knowledge in given area. The research focuses on the analysis and characteristics of the Community school model. Further goal of the empirical research was to determine whether there is a reliable instrument to help identify the type and quality of a given Community school, identify a basic typological distribution of Community schools in the Czech Republic, identify how individual concepts of Community schools differ in the content and delivery of their curricula, and how are principles of Community schools interconnected with the principles of inclusive education, and in particular with the provision of equal opportunities. Relationship of the founder and director of pre-primary education in the Pilsen region.

The Diploma thesis dealing with the relation between a founder and a director of pre-school education management in the Pilsen region, aims to evaluate a system of kindergartens, which are independent contributory organizations and whose founder is a municipality. To find out what competences the founder has in relation to a kindergarten, in which spheres the founder cooperates with a director. How the founder evaluates director's work, if he does control activities and if he works with outputs of the control bodies, especially the Czech School Inspectorate.To find out what the competences of a kindergarten director are, whether he is supported by the founder or not. To find out how the cooperation between the founders and the directors of kindergartens is evaluated by inspectors of the Czech School Inspectorate who are specialized in pre-primary education and work in the Pilsen Inspectorate of the ČSI. Gender impact on leadership in Prague elementary schools

Bachelor thesis concerns the comparison of leadership styles in higher management at Prague elementary schools. The target of this thesis is to discover the gender influence on an example of school headmaster and his/hers perspective based on existing professional experience. The first part of thesis theoretically introduces leadership, its historical development and present trends. The gender subject is also explored from the view of today's leadership. The structured interview focuses on the style of leadership, complemented by a gender perspective of the directors - man and directors - woman themselves. In the interview, some questions also focus on the personality of the leader who is particularly important in the school environment. The questionnaire filled in by the respondents prior to the interview is used to obtain professional experience information. The environment of the same city is chosen for reasons of comparable working conditions of the respondents. At the same time, all schools have comparable conditions for functioning because of a possible comparison of difficulty of the work of individual executives. The development of higher education in the Czech and the Slovak Republic

This thesis is focused on the development of private higher education systems in the Czech and the Slovak Republic. By the study of literature, legislation and by processing public and non-public statistical data, this thesis analyses the development of the private higher education system in the Czech and the Slovak Republic including their comparison and summarizes current terms that private universities must meet. Furthermore, this thesis is focused on processing the gathered statistical data of the number of private universities, their students and graduates. An integral part of the thesis is also the analysis of the study programs which are taught at private universities. The method of processing the statistical data is mainly the quantitative analysis of the data provided by the statistical offices in the Czech and Slovak Republic and by the ministries of education in both countries. The trend analysis was used for the outputs which display tendencies of phenomena in a specific period of time and comparative analysis comparing established indicators.
School Board and its participation in School Management

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of setting up school councils in elementary schools. Respondents of empirical research were directors of complete primary schools in the Hradec Králové Region. In particular, the results of the survey can be used to find possibilities for cooperation between the principal and the school council, so that its activities can help to the overall development of the educational process in the given school. As a basis for reflection, it can serve all stakeholders, i.e. school management, pedagogical staff, founders, and last but not least parents. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out to what extent and in what areas the school council influences the management of the principal. The partial aim was to specify the problematic areas of the relationship from the point of view of the principal and to suggest how to mitigate or eliminate their effects.
