Acute effects of new psychoactive substance from the group of phenethylamine derivatives - an animal study

Synthetic N-methoxybenzyl ("NBOMe") phenylethylamine derivatives were developed as highly potent agonists for the research of 5-hydroxytryptamine receptors, however they have become available on the black market in the past few years. They are sought by recreational users as "legal LSD", in worse cases the replacement is unsuspected and these substances are a cause of serious intoxication with signs of serotonin toxicity. At this moment, there is very little data available, but their low price, easy access via the internet and legal status make these substances an interesting target for recreational users and a big challenge for scientists and for the lawmakers. 2CBFly-NBOMe belongs to this group. There is no information about its recreational use for now, but thiat is probably only a matter of time. The aim of this study is to determine acute effects of 2CBFly-NBOMe in Wistar rats. Active substance significantly reduced locomotor activity of the animals and caused higher anxiety, it also disrupted sensorimotor gating and lowered body temperature of animals. Pharmacokinetic profile was measured only in the blood serum, the highest concentrations of 2CBFly-NBOMe were detected 30-60 minutes after the administration of hallucinogen. Normalization of Time Series Data of Landsat

Spectral reflectance of the Earth surface, obtained from the satellite images, should be independent from the external influences and should reflect the surface properties, specifically the proportion of the radiance reflected from the object. It was proved in this paper that the time series of the 63 images from the Landsat 5 satellite were visibly influenced by the external factors even in the case of the images already atmospherically corrected. These external factors were age of the image and WRS-2 position from which the image was obtained. Age of the image was documented with the steady decrease of the spectral reflectance values of the invariant features, especially in the visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum, caused by the sensor degradation. The influence of the WRS-2 position was documented especially in the infrared bands. The western parts of the images are lighter (have higher values of the surface reflectance) than the eastern parts. That may cause the difference between values when monitoring one spot in two overlapping WRS-2 positions. Safety Assesment of the Vacenovice Dam during Floods

The main goal of the bachelor’s thesis is the safety assessment of the Vacenovice Dam during floods in accordance with standard ČSN 75 2935. The assessment is accomplished for the control flood wave KPV100, PV200 a PV200 [13]. In the introduction of the bachelor’s thesis are described particular parts of the Vacenovice Dam and the subsumption of the Vacenovice Dam to relevant categories. The next part includes basic data of the Vacenovice Dam, used hydrologic data, description of hydrological calculations, setting of maximum permissible water level and control maximal water level. Then the thesis introduces a comparison of these water levels. In the end of the bachelor’s thesis are mentioned possible measures leading to increasing of the safety of the Vacenovice Dam.

In this thesis, the goal is to describe behavior of a elastomers used in automotive indrustry. We will approximate nonlinear dynamic values using combination of linear reological models. Then we will determine these linear values using optimization algorithms.

The thesis deals with marketing communication of the retail company Cyklospaciality s.r.o., operating on a bicycle equipment market. The first part is focusing on theoretical knowledge of a marketing mix, especially communication with customers. The analytical part describes the company, its business situation and applies theoretical knowledge of marketing research to the current state of the company. The results are given as a recommendation for altering the communication mix.
Geometrie Poisson-Lieovy T-duality

In this thesis we study geometry of Poisson-Lie T-duality. We develop the language of Lie and Courant algebroids and study generalized metrics on them. Then we use Dirac structures and generalized isometries to formulate a general version of Poisson-Lie T-duality, a non-abelian version of T-duality, known from string theory.

The Moran process is a model for simulating evolutionary dynamics. In that model, one mutant with higher fitness is introduced to a structured population. Evolution is simulated in rounds. In one round, individual is selected proportio- nally to its fitness and spreads to the place of a random neighbour. In this thesis, we motivate the Moran process, present basic results, and define our variant. We work in a vertex dependent model; every individual has fitness according to its type and occupied vertex. In the vertex dependent model we prove two theorems about the number of steps the process has to make to get to the stable state. We show that on the complete graph, the process takes only polynomially many steps and we find a graph where the process take exponentially many steps, but in the normal settings the number of steps is the same as on the complete graph. 1
