Report on the results of reduction the fish stock of the PEN and the subsequent stocking of predatory fish
Peterka, Jiří
The aim of the study was to reduce undesirable species of fish by electrofishing and then to stock predatory fish species in order to achieve a biomanipulative effect and maintain low total population density of fish. The report summarizes the work carried out and results achieved.
Survey of the European catfish population in the Žlutice Reservoir in 2017
Vejřík, Lukáš ; Peterka, Jiří
The aim of the study was to estimate the population density of wels catfish in the Žlutice Reservoir and to compare it with other localities studied, to determine the average length and weight of the catfish, to determine the proportion of artificially stocked and naturally reproduced catfish, to estimate the annual growth and to evaluate the catfish diet based on stomach contents. A summary of the work carried out and the results achieved are the content of this report.
Report on the survey of behavior and biomanipulation function of Europaen catfish population in Římov Reservoir in 2017
Říha, Milan ; Vejřík, Lukáš ; Peterka, Jiří ; Kubečka, Jan
Report summarizes our research of behavior and movement of wels catfish (Silurus glanis) in the Římov reservoir in years 2017-2018. Data about behavior and distribution were collected using a positioning telemetry system.
Hydrobiological monitoring of Medard Lake in 2017
Hejzlar, Josef ; Nedoma, Jiří ; Znachor, Petr ; Seďa, Jaromír ; Peterka, Jiří
The report summarizes the results of hydrobiological monitoring of Medard Lake 2017 and contains recommendations for further research activities. At the beginning of 2017, the lake was almost full, and at the end of March the last 30 cm water column was filled from the Ohře river. The ecosystem of the lake has reached its final nutrient load, which will be characterized by low levels of carrying capacity with low productivity planktonic and fish communities and specific seasonal changes in chemistry and biological parameters.
Complex fish stock survey of Lake Most in 2017
Peterka, Jiří
Aim of the complex ichthyological survey of Lake Most was to map the current state and succession of lake’s fish stock with particular emphasis put on abundance and biomass estimates of all fish species, evaluation of possible risks to the further development of the fish stock and recommendations for the lake management. Summarization of achieved results and recommendations for further monitoring are included in the presented report.
Final report on ichthyological work within NAZV project No. QJ1620240 in 2017
Blabolil, Petr ; Kočvara, Luboš ; Kubečka, Jan ; Peterka, Jiří
The aim of the study was to carry out a survey of fish stocks in the inshore part of Švihov Reservoir with a special attention on the natural reproduction of pike and the spatial dispersion of marked asp fry.
Report on the status of the burbot populations in the Karhov, Lučina, Nýrsko and Zhejral reservoirs and Obecník Pond in 2016
Blabolil, Petr ; Jůza, Tomáš ; Matěna, Josef ; Muška, Milan ; Peterka, Jiří ; Říha, Milan ; Vejřík, Lukáš
The aim of the study was to monitor the burbot populations in four reservoirs and in a pond with previous stocking. The monitoring was carried out during the spring season 2016 and, in the case of the Nýrsko Reservoir, during winter and summer as well. The combination of harmless methods (traps of two types, visual survay, electrofishing, hydroacoustic), a method simulating fishing pressure (long-lines) and a fix-frame trawl were used to detect burbot. A novel monitoring scheme was developet and validated and burbot populatin characteristics described.
Complex fish stock survey of Lake Chabařovice in 2017
Peterka, Jiří
Aim of the complex ichthyological survey of Lake Chabařovice was to map the current state and succession of lake’s fish stock with particular emphasis put on abundance and biomass estimates of all fish species, evaluation of possible risks to the further development of the fish stock and recommendations for the lake management. Summarization of achieved results and recommendations for further monitoring are included in the presented report.
Hydrobiological monitoring of Medard Lake in 2016
Hejzlar, Josef ; Borovec, Jakub ; Nedoma, Jiří ; Znachor, Petr ; Seďa, Jaromír ; Peterka, Jiří
Presented report summarizes the results of hydrobiological monitoring of Medard Lake in 2016 and recommends further monitoring actions. Between November 2015 and June 2016 final flooding from river Ohře took place, resulting in enrichment of the lake ecosystem by large amount of nutrients at the beginning of vegetation season what affected seasonal development of chemical as well as biological parameters, from phytoplankton to fish.
