Rozdíly v aktivitě spermií hřebců
One of the requirements for a successful artificial insemination is the quality of stallion´s ejaculate. This thesis deals with influence of sperm velocity fraction on fertility. Semen samples in this thesis were evaluated by using an objective computerized method CASA, system SCA. Sperm motility in monitoring was performed in 75 samples from 12 stallions involved in artificial insemination fresh sperm in ZH Písek. Total and progressive motility, rapid, medium and slow motility were monitored. Stallion´s age was from 3-21 years. The average of fertility was 56,19 %. The average of total motility was 78,07 %. The average of progressive motility was 38,35 %. Furthermore, the spermatozoa were divided into 3 velocity fractions and the average percentage of the individual fractions in the samples was as follows: 27,30 % rapid spermatozoa, 21,27 % medium spermatozoa and 29,50% slow spermatozoa. Then the average percentage of rapid progressive spermatozoa (13,43 %), medium progressive spermatozoa (24,92 %) and non-progressive spermatozoa (39,72 %) were found. There was a positive correlation between fertility and the rate of rapid motile spermatozoa (r=0,34). The difference between individual stallions (p-value < 0,01) in the mean percentage of rapid spermatozoa in the ejaculate was demonstrated. The stallion with the highest rate of rapid motile spermatozoa and the best pregnancy was welsh part-bred stallion. On the other hand, the worst pregnancy results and one of the lowest percentages of rapid motile spermatozoa had noriker stallion. The highest success rate of pregnancy was found after the second insemination. The results of this work have shown that the quality of the ejaculate has a very significant effect on good pregnancy but it is just one of many acting factors.

Liability of members of governing bodies of juristic persons Mgr. Lucie Novotná Krtoušová Abstract The aim of the presented doctoral thesis entitled "Theoretical Concept of Liability of Members of the Governing Bodies of Juristic Persons" is to determine what requirements can be placed on natural persons who act as members of the governing bodies of juristic persons, and to specify the substance of due managerial care as a legal basis for potential liability. The Civil Code lays down the duty of a governing body member to act with due managerial care in the discharge of his/her office in its general part; the relevant provisions thus apply to members of the governing bodies of all juristic persons under both private and public law, provided that this is compatible with their legal nature. Compliance with the duty of due managerial care - in cases where the governing body members act as representatives of the juristic person - is the decisive criterion for determining whether or not they will be liable to the juristic person for any damage caused in the discharge of their office. However, it is questionable whether this is a case of fault-based liability for breach of a legal duty or strict liability for breach of a contractual obligation. The question of whether we will conceive liability of members of...

Novotná, Lucie ; Vojtíšek, Petr (advisor) ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (referee)
(anglicky): The bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of coaching and its possibilities for using in social work. All the work is focused only on the micro level of social work, so it is working with methods of working with the individual. The thesis consists of a theoretical part, which mainly defines concepts directly related to the topic. Then their similarity is compared in accordance with chapters before. The second part - the practical part - was go through with interviews with the coaching respondents, the social work respondents and the respondents, both of whom meet these themes. Respondents were asked questions in the wording that corresponds to their work, that questions for respondents in the field of coaches had a modified wording, so they would ask about the essence of working with the client in coaching. Similarly, for the respondents in the field of social work the wording of the questions was adapted. Based on the evaluation of these interviews, not only the similarity of the two areas was confirmed but also the conditions under which coaching in social work could be used. The diploma thesis consists of five parts including the introduction, the conclusion and three chapters of the own text. The chapter one contains the introduction to the field of personal data protection, including the brief history of the development of personal data protection, and it is further divided into the sub-chapters where the primary and secondary law concerning personal data protection in the European Union and its development are introduced. Novotná, Lucie ; Nekola, Martin (advisor) ; Morávek, Jan (referee)
This thesis, New Psychoactive Substances in British Drug Policy Discourse addresses new psychoactive substances (NPS) in drug policy discourse in Great Britain between 2000-2014. It focuses on the identification of individual frames and aims to understand the different perspectives NPS can be framed in The theoretical framework of this thesis is based on the idea of social constructivism and Frame Theory. On this basis, the thesis identifies individual sponsors, the general characteristics of the problem, the injured party, the public policy implications and the value base. It identifies four frames which are present in the discourse. The first, called Fragmented, does not perceive NPS as a comprehensive problem, but as individually occurring substances. The second frame the Prohibitionist wishes to tackle the issue of NPS using new tools of prohibition. The third one, the Regulatory frame is strongly polarized towards the previous frame and wants to solve the NPS issue by creating a legally regulated market for psychoactive substances. The last, Wicked frame, perceives NPS as an unstructured problem, therefore it cannot be solved by one measure. This frame favors an expert debate and evidence in order to find the optimal solution. The thesis puts the issue into context and focuses on NPS...
Temperature-dependent activity of egg-white antimicrobial proteins in precocial and altricial birds
Novotná, Lucie ; Javůrková, Veronika (advisor) ; Krist, Miloš (referee)
Microorganisms are considered to be crucial selective factor affecting reproductive success of birds. It is hypothesized that egg-white antimicrobial proteins and incubation behavior are the most important defense mechanisms that eliminates the risk of microbial trans-shell infection. The latest studies supposed that incubation temperatures may significantly affect the antimicrobial activity of egg white proteins. The concentration of egg white antimicrobial proteins as well as incubation patterns differ among altricial and precocial species of birds. However, experimental study testing the effect of incubation temperature on the antimicrobial potential of antimicrobial egg white proteins in altricial and precocial birds is missing. In this study we tested in manipulative experiment the effect of partial and full incubation, the concentration of lysozyme and ovotransferrin and their interactions on the antimicrobial activity of egg whites of two model species - Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) and home pigeon (Columba livia). Antimicrobial protein activity was determined by the agar well diffusion method against two Gram-positive bacteria - Bacillus subtilis and Micrococcus luteus that have been documented as pathogenic egg-white invaders of several birds. Moreover, we analyzed the effect of...
