Žilincová, Lucia ; Chvojka, Ondřej (advisor) ; Juchelka, Jiří (referee) ; Novák, Miroslav (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of arts Institute of Prehistory and Early History Lucia Žilincová SETTLEMENT OF BOHEMIAN PARADISE IN THE PERIOD OF LUSATIAN URN FIELDS Dissertation thesis Summary: The main aim of my dissertation thesis is to contribute to better understanding of the Bohemian Paradise settlement in the Lusatian urn fields period and its relation and contacts to the neighbouring areas. The basic source is archaeological material from seven cemeteries (Sovenice /bez. Mladá Boleslav/, Sovenice /bez. Nymburk/, Svijany, Svijanský Újezd, Koryta, Březina, Příšovice) and two settlements of the Lusatian culture (Turnov-Maškovy zahrady, Svijany). Its analysis is basis for enrichement knowledge of Lusatian material culture and its clue for completing of missing elements in chronological development. Inevitable part of this work is substitution of these localities to the Bomemian Paradise frame and classification in the wider space of this culture widespreading. On the base of acquired knowledge I will try to solve the question of possibility for comparation of the settlement and burial material of Lusatian culture. 2016
Resynchronization and prosynchronization in permanent cardiac pacing in children.
Kubuš, Peter ; Janoušek, Jan (advisor) ; Kautzner, Josef (referee) ; Novák, Miroslav (referee)
1 Abstract Objectives: To evaluate the results of permanent epicardial pacing and clinical impact of electromechanical dyssynchrony in permanent cardiac pacing in children; to identify the pacing sites with the greatest potential to prevent pacing-induced cardiomyopathy. Methods: Retrospective observational study of long-term results of permanent epicardial pacing in children in the Czech Republic. Multi-centre cross-sectional study on long-term effects of the site of ventricular pacing on left ventricular (LV) synchrony and function in children with structurally normal heart, requiring permanent pacing. Results: Overall probability of continued epicardial pacing (absence of change to a partial or total transvenous system) was 92.8 and 76.1% at 5 and 10 years after implantation, respectively. None of those patients who were paced from the systemic ventricle developed dyssynchronous systemic ventricular failure. Pacing site was the only significant predictor of LV ejection fraction (EF) and LV shortening fraction (P < 0.0001 for both). Pacing from the LV apex/LV midlateral wall was associated with preserved LV function (LV ejection fraction ≥ 55%; odds ratio (OR) = 8.26; P = 0.018). Pacing from the RV outflow tract/lateral RV predicted significantly decreased LV function (LV ejection fraction < 45%; OR =...
Traditional Values and Czech Party System
Vaněk, Přemysl ; Novák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Mlejnek, Josef (referee)
Social conservative values are not a frequently voiced topic among Czech politics, but still, there are few parliamentary parties that claim to be conservative. Conservative thinking is very often interchanged with right-wing affiliation, which can lead to ambiguous identification of political subjects. The thesis concentrates on Social conservatism that is placed outside right wing-left wing definition of political parties and tries to analyse its specifics and roots. Social conservatism promotes ethical issues connected with Christian morals. This study analyses these issues and attempts to evaluate their relevance within the Czech society and party system. From the analysis of Social conservative values and individual conservative parties and movements it is clear that Social conservatism does not belong among essential topics for Czech society and politics, even though this way of thinking is still present. The main representative of Social conservatism is parliamentary party KDU- ČSL, which, nevertheless, given to the degree of liberalisation in the Czech society, still enforces the Social conservative values with great care. There are also radical, religiously fundamental voices present, these are, however, not given much space. Declared Social conservatism of some Czech political parties...
