Contract research concerns laser 3D cutting (trimming) of plastic parts. There were three separate tasks. In the first case it was a trimming of plastic battery covers (4 different dimensions), including the design and implementation of holders. In the second case the plastic wheel arches were trimmed, and a fixture was also supplied. In the third case, plastic headlamps for automotive were trimmed (4 different dimensions). In this case, a holders was developed and implemented.

The contract research was divided into several parts. In one part, the welding of distribution stator wheels from individual parts was solved. Parts are made of different materials (higher strength carbon steel - martensitic stainless steel). In the next part the individual blades of the steam turbine rotor blades were welded into larger units. Weldability of martensitic stainless steel used for production using laser was solved and laser welding technology with additional cold wire was solved.
