Title: Automatic On-Line Calibration and Calibration Monitoring of Cameras and Lidars Author: Jaroslav Moravec Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Elena Šikudová, Ph.D., Department of Software and Computer Science Education Abstract: Cameras and LiDARs are important devices in the automotive indus- try as their combination provides useful information (3D coordinates of a point, its colour and intensity) for perception, localization, mapping and prediction. Successful data fusion and interpretation requires accurate calibration of intrin- sic parameters of the sensors and their 6D relative pose. In this thesis, we present a target-less calibration method on three different calibration tasks. The solu- tion is based on a robust likelihood function constructed over the reprojection error of LiDAR edges relative to image edges. When the calibration slowly wears off, our online recalibration procedure can jointly follow the extrinsic calibration drift with an average error of 0.13◦ in rotation and 4 cm in translation. Based on this recalibration tool, we are also able to monitor the calibration and detect an abrupt decalibration in a couple of seconds. And we also present a fully automatic calibration routine that estimates both the extrinsic and intrinsic...
Object recognition using 3D convolutional neural networks

Title: Object recognition using 3D convolutional neural networks Author: Jaroslav Moravec Department: Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: RNDr. Jakub Lokoč, Ph.D., Department of Software Engineering Abstract: With the fast development of laser and sensor technologies, it has become easy to scan a real-world object and save it in a digital format into a persistent database. With the rising number of scanned 3D objects, data man- agement and retrieval methods become necessary. For various retrieval tasks, effective retrieval models are required. In our work, we focus on effective classifi- cation and similarity search. The investigated approach is based on convolutional neural networks representing a machine learning method that boomed in recent years. We have designed and trained several architectures of 3D convolutional neural networks and tested them on state-of-the-art benchmark 3D datasets for 3D object recognition and retrieval. We were also able to show that the trained features on one dataset can be then used to predict class labels on another 3D dataset. Keywords: Object recognition, 3D convolution, neural networks
Scope and mode of damages
Moravec, Jaroslav ; Šustek, Petr (advisor) ; Salač, Josef (referee)
This thesis' main focus lies in the analysis of the new statutory provisions pertaining to the civil liability for damage and identifying the differences between the old Civil Code (Act No. 40/964 Coll.) and the newly enacted Civil Code (Act No. 89/2012 Coll.), which brought about major changes with respect to the traditional regulation of liability for damage, which dated back to the enactment of Austrian ABGB in 1811. In this thesis I will try to analyse these changes and critically assess their impact and improvements over the old regulation and bring forward the controversial points and drawbacks of the new Civil Code. In the first and mostly theoretical part of the thesis I will focus mainly on the analysis of the new concept of civil liability which differs from the major view of the civil theory. I will also focus on the change of terminology resulting from these conceptual changes. The second part of this thesis will be less abstract and focus more on the new differentiation between the contractual liability for damage, i. e. liability arising out of the breach of a contract, and the delictual liability for damage, which arises out of the acts violating the statutory provisions (the written law). This thesis consists of three main sections, which are further divided into subsections. The...
Issuance of money by the central bank and its prospect after accession to the European Monetary Union
Moravec, Jaroslav ; Karfíková, Marie (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee) ; Dřevínek, Karel (referee)
Issuance of money by the central bank and its prospect after accession to the European Monetary Union (abstract) The presented thesis analyzes the problems of issuance of money by the Central Bank in the Czech Republic. The issuance of money is analyzed particularly from the viewpoint of its legal regulation but attention is also paid to its practical implementation in the official practice of our Central Bank. The aim of the thesis is to comprehensively elaborate substantial part of the legal regulation in this area. Attention is paid particularly to applicable legal regulation but also to regulations that have been repealed in the period from establishment of the Czech Republic to the present time. This area of our day to day life has not been frequently explored and there is only minimum related financial-law literature. This, on the other hand, provides more space for the analysis of little known information from official practice. The first part of the thesis provides an overview of the history of issuance of money in our territory after 1918. Initially, it deals with the Austro-Hungarian crown currency and its banknotes and coins that had been circulating in this country after the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak state. It further analyzes the development of cash circulation of the...
Combining classifiers by means of fuzzy methods
Moravec, Jaroslav ; Eckhardt, Alan (referee) ; Holeňa, Martin (advisor)
In this paper we elaborate a method of combining classifiers by means of the tconorm integral for SVM classifiers ensembles. We compare accuracy of combined classifiers for the case of SVM classifiers and quazi-Sugeno integrals. For t-conorm systems for integration, which we use to determine quazi-Sugeno integrals, we use t-norms from three families of t-norms, Aczél-Alsina family, Dombi family and Frank family. Results of our experiments show that combining classifiers by Sugeno integral is superior to integrals relying on the other considered t-norms.
Interactive Web Page Design Environment
Moravec, Jaroslav ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This master's thesis describes an environment for creation and management of interactive web pages. It deals with both the structure design and the visual part. The basic idea is that the page consists of individual elements that can be arbitrarily composed together. There exist several kinds of such elements: interactive, content, database and informative elements. Furthermore, the environment includes tools for account management, access control, database administration, auditing, multilanguage support and some more.
Implementation of algorithm for energetic material measurement in FPGA device
Slovák, Jiří ; Moravec, Jaroslav (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
In the text of the master´s thesis, it is at first briefly referred about Energetic Material Measurement topic in general. Emphasis is placed especially at the description of the Velocity of Detonation and short analysis of selected measurement method. The most significant part of the paper is dedicated to the design and description of the system that was created in ISE Design Suite environment using VHDL language. The development was performed with respect to oncoming integration into the board with FPGA and A/D converters. The operation of detection algorithm which was created based on the MATLAB model was verified in the final part of the thesis by simulation of processing of real optical probe signals.
The Way of Financing the Selected European and American Orchestras
Moravec, Jaroslav ; ŠTILEC, Jiří (advisor) ; BĚLOR, Roman (referee)
This study deals not only with orchestras financing issues but also with culture systems in general, and it does so in different states, societies and cultures. For the purposes of the systems comparison and at the same time for relating it to the Czech Republic environment, I have chosen the orchestras of Wiener Philharmoniker, Berliner Philharmoniker and Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam as the representatives of continental Europe; New York Philharmonic together with Chicago Symphony Orchestra from the USA; and London Symphony Orchestra from Great Britain as the border line between the European and the American world. The aim of this study is to formulate a comprehensible overview of the most important characteristics of the above mentioned issues.
The Way of Financing the Selected Czech Orchestras in Comparation with Selected European Orchestras
Moravec, Jaroslav ; ŠTILEC, Jiří (advisor) ; BĚLOR, Roman (referee)
The purpose of this study is to explore the issues of financing selected Czech orchestras and to confront these economy mechanisms, which are well established in the Czech Republic, with some European orchestras. As the representatives of the Czech environment, I selected six orchestras in total; they are Czech Philharmonic, Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, Brno Philharmonic, Pilsen Philharmonic, Janáčkova Filharmonie Ostrava, and PKF - Prague Philharmonia. Then, from Europe, I paid attention to the orchestras which are either close to the Czech environment in terms of history or area, or inspiring for us for various reasons. Specifically, I work with the following orchestras: Berliner Philharmoniker, Het Koninklijk Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the British London Symphony Orchestra, and Slovenská filharmónia. The goal of this study is to create an overview of economy characteristics of all these Czech and European orchestras, to compare these ways and evaluate them.

Botanický ústav AV ČR, Průhonice ; Petřík, Petr ; Černý, Tomáš ; Moravec, Jaroslav ; Kolbek, Jiří
Předmětem biomonitoringu v Chráněné krajinné oblasti a Biosférické rezervaci Křivoklátsko byla v roce 2001 dřevinná i bylinná složka lesních společenstev (subxerofilní doubravy asociace Potentillo albae-Quercetum, dubohabřiny asociace Melampyro nemorosi-Carpinetum a květnaté bučiny asociace Tilio cordatae-Fagetum). Dále bylinná složka lučního společenstva s kriticky ohroženým taxonem Gentianella baltica a dalšími vzácnými taxony ČR jako Orchis morio, Orchis ustulata, Phyteuma orbiculare a Primula veris.
