Construction of a new social service for multiple-problem clients
Kocmánková, Dagmar ; Matoušek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Petr (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Construction of social service for multi-problem clients" deals with barriers in the use of social services by apparent homeless people, maps their needs and proposes a new low-threshold social service based on obtained data from a qualitative survey. The new social service presents models to overcome barriers, addresses the legislative framework of the service, and proposes a type of organization that could deliver the service. Powered by TCPDF (

Social aspects of ageing regarding homeless people in connection with systemic measures taken in the city of Prague
Pěnkava, Pavel ; Matoušek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Koldinská, Kristina (referee) ; Vágnerová, Marie (referee)
Homelessness is a socio-pathological phenomenon, caused by the inability of an individual to deal with crisis situations and leading to the lost of relationships but also the material environment. As a result of the above, the social exclusion of the individuals gradually becomes unchangeable. Here, Pěnkava (2013) describes the vertical decline within the social stratification, which brings a deep frustration and in a number of cases leads to resignation on the efforts to deal efficiently with the unfavorable situation. The causes of such collapse are multifactorial and hence, in order to solve them there is cooperation on the level of multidisciplinary teams needed. However, numerous issues are currently being solved by social workers only, who in many cases are forced to replace experts in fields such as law, psychology, pedagogy of leisure time, geriatry or medicine. The central theme of the dissertation is dealing with the possibilities and limitations of people without home in old age living in the Capital City of Prague. Considering the factors of age, the diversity in satisfying their needs and the associated risks involved, is this a specific group of people that is, moreover, at immediate risk to their lives and health. As a consequence, the dignity of these people is being hurt not only...
Possibillities and limitations of short term foster care for chidlren with attachment disorder
Hubáčková, Tereza ; Vodáčková, Daniela (advisor) ; Matoušek, Oldřich (referee)
This bachelor's thesis strives to explore the current issue of short term foster care in relation to children with an attachment disorder and thus contribute towards the ongoing debate about further development of this instrument of social and legal child protection. In the theory part of my thesis, I describe the theory of attachment and explain the term attachment disorder. The next part of my thesis is dedicated to short-term foster care, the exploration of its origin and evolution and the description of its current position. In the practical part of my thesis, I present my qualitative research, which I carried out amongst psychologists and other specialists who actively devote themselves to the issue of children at risk and amongst short term foster parents who have cared for a child with an attachment disorder. I have catalogued the data obtained from semi-structured interviews by means of thematic and narrative analysis, put them into context and drawn from them the answers I had asked at the beginning.
Probation supervision and its application in the context of the imposition of sanctions on youth
Eliášová, Diana ; Hulmáková, Jana (advisor) ; Matoušek, Oldřich (referee)
The primary aim of this diploma thesis is Probation supervision and its application in the context of the imposition of sanctions on youth. The thesis is divided into seven main chapters. The introductory chapter is devoted to defining the terms of probation and supervision, then the thesis is focused on the development of these concepts in the Czech Republic. Next parts are devoted to international documents regulating application and execution of sanctions with the supervision and supervision of a probation officer in Czech law on juvenile offenders. The main topic of the next section is the acitivity and role of the probation officer in the context of probation and supervision. The thesis is then focused on the criminological aspects of application of supervision sanctions. In the last chapter, selected case studies are analyzed. The aim of these analysis is examine te compliance of probation and mediation service methodologies, legislation and the real practice. The target of the thesis is to identify specific differences between the application practice and the mentioned methodologies, respectively the legal adjustments. The thesis finds diffeences in many areas of practice, especially in cooperation with other institutions and non-compliance with obligations by probation officers.
Large displacement and deformation measurement by frequency sweeping digital holography
Psota, P. ; Lédl, Vít ; Kaván, František ; Matoušek, O. ; Doleček, R.
Recently, a digital holographic method called Frequency Sweeping Digital Holography (FSDH) for high precision measurements of surface topography of mechanical parts has been introduced. The greatest advantage of the presented FSDH is the fact that the measurement is absolute. i.e. optical path difference is independently retrieved in every single pixel. This approach can therefore be used also for measurement of large displacements and deformation. FSDH is particularly suitable in cases where the common digital holographic methods fail due to e.g. 2π unambiguity problem or speckle decorrelation. Measurement method principles, setup details, an some features of the method are discussed.\n
Surface profilometry by digital holography
Psota, Pavel ; Lédl, Vít ; Kaván, František ; Matoušek, O. ; Mokrý, P.
This paper presents newly developed method for measurement of surface topography based on frequency scanning digital holography. Digital holography allows for direct computation of the phase field of the wavefront scattered by an object. A tuning of the light source optical frequency results in linear phase variation with respect to the optical frequency. Slope of the linear function in every single pixel corresponds to absolute measurement of optical path difference and thus topography map of the surface can be retrieved. Principle of this contactless method is introduced and experimentally verified. The method can be used for measurement of complex geometries of common manufacturing parts as well as for topography measurement of complex composite structures, and active acoustic metasurfaces.

Sarah Asfour Factors hampering the integration of Refugee Children Faktory ztěžující integraci uprchlických dětí Vedoucí práce: doc. PhDr. Oldřich Matoušek 2018 ABSTRACT The main aim of this thesis is to describe the factors that hamper the integration of Refugee Children into a new society. Factors that are mentioned in relation to integration are connected with an education gap, unfamiliarity with the language spoken in a new society, a bad economic situation of a family and its consequences and unstable or inappropriate housing. Social economic factors are also mentioned in the thesis. Child Labour closely linked to family conditions are discuess together with the worst form of it: child requitment into army. Refugee children coming from various backgrounds also may face many psychologically challenging situations when forcefully or willingly leaving their home country and other significant situations connected to their refugee status. In this thesis, I discuss psychological distresses that influence children's mental state due to war experience, migration experience, extended stays in refugee camps or post-migration stressors. In this thesis the situation of...
