Technique and methodology of skiing with one-sided above knee amputation on two skis
Hruša, Filip ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
Thesis title: Technique and methodology of skiing with one-sided above knee amputation on two skis. Main objectives: Propose a methodical series for beginners with one-sided above knee amputation on two skis. Method: The work is of theoretical-empirical character, this is an explanatory case study applied to three probands, skiers with one-sided above knee amputation. Firstly, a content analysis of publicly available methodical publications will be carried out. Then the observation method with the following description will characterize probands technique by watching video records. Finally, we will propose a methodical series in which we will reflect the observed problems in the technique. Results: We found out in our bachelor thesis, that the same basic mistakes appear in amateur skier beginners, therefore we have proposed a theoretical methodological series that should lead to their elimination. Key words: above knee amputation, prosthetic, transfemoral amputation, prosthetic, skiing of amputees, skiing with prosthetic, ProCarve, C- leg, Genium.
The Reliability of Measuring on the Skytech Interactive Ski Simulator
Novotný, Otomar ; Jindra, Matouš (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
Title: The Reliability of Measuring on the Skytech Interactive Ski Simulator Objectiv: The goal of this work is to investigate the reliability of the measurement of energy expenditure on the Skytech Interactive Ski Simulator. Methods: The sample consisted of 14 subjects, among which were 9 boys and 5 girls. The value of energy expenditure was measured by indirect calorimetry using the energy equivalent and respiratory exchange ratio. For the measurement of respiratory gases, the Metamax 3B metabolic analyzer and for the analysis of heart rate, the Polar S610 heart rate monitor were used. The subjects completed two measurements, each lasting 6 minutes. During this time, the data needed for subsequent calculations reliability were measured. Assuming that the pair of measuring has a two-dimensional distribution, the reliability equals the correlation coefficient. It was computed using the maximum likelihood method. Results: The measurement of energy expenditure on the Skytec Interactive Simulator provided consistent and reliable results. The findings in this study can be applied to further testing on this machine. Conclusion: The reliability of energy expenditure reached 84%, a result better than the usual values of reliability tests, which may typically be about 80%. Keywords: Energy expenditure,...
In line tracks in Prague and their attendance
Doležalová, Lucie ; Gnad, Tomáš (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
Title: In line tracks in Prague and their attendance Objectives: The aim of work is description and characteristics of selected tracks for in line skating in Prague and assessment of their attendance. Methods: We used the questionnaire survey to collect data. We received the answers from the respondents on the basis of a controlled interview. The results we statistically processed using absolute and realtive frequencies. We also used the observation method to describe in line tracks. Results: The infrastructure of in line tracks in Prague is already well built and for skaters offer a wide selection to choose from, but there is still some space for improvement. The main focus should be on the surface quality and width, service for skaters and on some track also on length. Through the questionnaire survey it was found that in line trails are mostly attended working populations aged 26 - 35 years and the main reason why they skate is spend leisure time or improve their fitness. Key words: in line skating, sport for all, in line tracks, outdoor activities

Title: In-line tracks in the Central Bohemian Region Objective: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze conditions for recreational ride on in- line in the Central Bohemian Region, connected with cultural-cognitive component of tourism. Methods: This bachelor thesis is qualitative research and in this thesis have been used several methods. The method of literature review and analysis of professional documents for processing the theoretical basis of work, furthermore the participant observation based on predetermined criteria and parameters for the practical part of the thesis. Results: After personal crossing of all tracks a total of 67 tracks were evaluated as suitable for in-line skating in the Central Bohemian Region. There were 4 tracks longer than 10 km, 14 medium tracks which were long between 3 - 10 km and 49 short tracks with distance between 1 - 3 km. The whole-day trip which has fulfilled all parts of tourism was suggested on the route Poděbrady - Nymburk - Poděbrady 19. This track was 19 km long. Keywords: In-line skating, in-line tracks, fitness skating, Central Bohemian Region.

Occurrence and Prevention of Asthma in Youth Division Cross-country Skiers
Toman, Lukáš ; Gnad, Tomáš (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
Title: Occurrence and Prevention of Asthma in Youth Division Cross-country Skiers Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determine the incidence of asthma in youth division cross-country skiers and its prevention. Methods: This thesis will comprise the method of survey and content analysis of documents. Hypotheses: No.1 Assume that asthma will have lower prevalence in youth division cross- country skiers than in adult cross-country skiers. No.2 Assume that the majority of the surveyed cross-country skiing coaches met with asthmatic symptoms in their athletes. Results: We found that 12% of youth division athletes suffer from asthma and 24% from allergies. Keywords: cross country skiing, respiratory diseases, bronchial asthma, exercise-induced asthma, allergy prevention.

Title: Comparison of ski teaching plans and ski qualifications between Czech republic and New Zealand. Objectives: Main objective of this thesis is the comparison of lesson plans and qualifications between the Czech Republic and New Zealand. As a basic educational program in the Czech Republic was chosen Czech ski school. Methods: This theoretical work processes, sorts and critically analyzing the survey findings on the current topic. Information needed for this work were obtained in several ways. It was a content analysis of documents, observation and experience. Results: After comparing Czech and New Zealand methodology of teaching skiing were not found distinct differences, they appeared in a comparison of the requirements for obtaining the qualifications of the same level - age, length of course and obtained permission to teach. It differs also focus and scope of ski organizations. Keywords: skiing, methodology, qualifications, ski teaching
Comparison of selected parameters when skiing and snowboarding
Bulínová, Michaela ; Gnad, Tomáš (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
Title: Comparison of selected parameters when skiing and snowboarding. Objectives: The aim of this work is to compare pulse rate and functioning speed while skiing and snowboarding in the slalom track. Methods: Statistical indicators used to calculate BMI (body mass index), pulse rate measuring using the Polar brand sport tester, the stopwatches to time the functioning speed, statistical methods to calculate the arithmetic average. Results: According to the results the hypothesis H1 was confirmed, so the functioning speed while skiing will be shorter than while snowboarding in the slalom track. In second hypothesis H2, the fact that the volume of strain while snowboarding is higher than while skiing in the slalom track did not confirm. Key Words: skiing, snowboarding, pulse rate, speed, slalom track

Title: Skicross start analysis Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe and evaluate the activity of muscles of upper body during skicross start and afterwards compare sides to find out, how is that movement symmetric or asymmetric. Methods: The diploma thesis is empiric-theoretic about case study. We used method of analysis and a method of comparison. For analysing the muscles activity, we used method of electromyography. We used comparison when comparing the activity of muscles on right and left sides. Results: After analysis of result we can declare the skicross start analysis is sym-metrical movement. Keywords: skicross start analysis electromyography Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
