PhDr. Jiří Mareš, CSc. Number of pages: 88 Number of attachments: 7 Year of defense: 2018 Keywords: senior, social care, social service, nursing care My bachelor's thesis is about specifics of general nurses' work in the care of eldery in socisl services people. It has two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I'm explaining words like senior, age, ageing and typical aspect of this part. Attention is also paid to specialized care for the elderly, both in social services and in health care facilities. A relatively large part is devoted to social services, which is necessary for a comprehensive understanding of the problems. An empiric part is looking for answe to question if the work of nurses with seniors in social facilities has its own specificities compared to general nurses in health care facilities. The test was focused on the expertise and skills of nurses and their use in the care of the elderly. The investigation was carried out in the home for the elderly, in the long-term hospital, and in the...
Adding Geographic Coordinates Based on Track Record to Photographs
Mareš, Jiří ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Semerád, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to fill photos metadata with geographic coordinates using a track record obtained from the GPS system. Besides the automated process, users are given the ability to modify or fill the data themselves through a map canvas with the recorded track. The goal is to implement simple user-friendly application for this purpose. The Application was created using the Java programming language and this allows for great multiplatform compatibility.

Title: The quality of life of persons with sclerosis multiplex Number of pages: 132 Number of attachments: 7 Year of defense: 2018 Keywords: multiple sclerosis, quality of life, immobility, social institute, Domov svatého Josefa, life with disease, the impact of the disease on everyday life The bachelor thesis deals with the quality of life of persons with multiple sclerosis, solving the problems of everyday life in terms of subjective experience of patients with this disease. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part describes the history, pathophysiology, occurrence, course, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Another title is the nursing aspect pointing to patient care and the possibilities of social institutions. The quality of life, which is also described in the first part of this thesis, is not neglected and is the main topic. The empirical part was led by mixed research. When was used for qualitative method of semi-structured interview and for quantitative method PTGI questionnaire, which points to posttraumatic development in patients. The research was...

Author: Vendula Vaňková Institution: Charles University in Prague Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové, Department of Social Medicine, Department of Nursing Title: The quality of life of children with Crohn's disease Supervisor: prof. PhDr. Jiří Mareš, CSc. Number of pages: 120 Number of attachments: 8 Year of defense: 2018 Keywords: Crohn's disease, children and adolescents, inflammatory bowel diseases, quality of life, mixed approach This bachelor thesis explores the quality of life of adolescents with Crohn's disease. The theoretical part deals with Crohn's disease - the incidence of diseases in adults and children and adolescents, etiology, symptoms, complications, diagnosis and treatment. The next chapter focuses on the specificities of Crohn's disease in childhood. The notion of quality of life is explained in the next chapter together with a description of previous research on this issue. Qualitative and quantitative research in adolescents with Crohn's disease is key to work. The tested set was established from five adolescents aged 14 - 17 (3 girls and 2 boys). The adolescents answered the questions in the semi-structured interview, then completed the PedsQL questionnaire, which evaluates children's quality of life. The thesis verifies the quality of life of adolescents with Crohn's...
Qualitative and Quantitative Aspects of Adherence to Osteoporosis Treatment
Toušková, Tereza ; Vytřísalová, Magda (advisor) ; Mareš, Jiří (referee) ; Tesař, Tomáš (referee)
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy Candidate Mgr. Tereza Toušková Supervisor PharmDr. Magda Vytřísalová, PhD. Title of Doctoral Thesis QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE ASPECTS OF ADHERENCE TO OSTEOPOROSIS TREATMENT Následuje překlad abstraktu práce do anglického jazyka. Introduction: Non-adherence in the field of osteoporosis (OP) is considerable and it is necessary to deal with it because adequate adherence to the therapy leads to a reduction in the risk of fractures, the number of hospitalizations, and the cost of health care. Monitoring of the adherence is therefore an essential and integral part of patient care. The problem in osteoporotic patients is that 30-50% don't follow the recommendations for proper use of the drugs, which is f.e. for the treatment of oral bisphosphonates (p.o. BIS) essential. Despite the availability of effective pharmacotherapy, approximately half of patients with OP aren't adherent to the treatment regimen and / or discontinue treatment during the first year of use. Many different methods are used for adherence measurement, making the results difficult to compare. There still isn't a "gold standard" in the measurement of adherence, which would be widely used, which would allow relevant data on...
Multi-(K)over-bar (hyper)Nuclei and Kaon Condensation
Gazda, Daniel ; Mareš, Jiří ; Friedman, E. ; Gal, A.
We report on recent relativistic mean-field calculations of multi-(K) over bar nuclei(1,2) which were performed fully and self-consistently across the periodic table. The (K) over bar separation energy B-(K) over bar as well as the nuclear and (K) over bar -meson densities were found to saturate with the number of antikaons in the nuclear medium. Saturation appears robust against a wide range of variations, including the nuclear model used and the type of boson fields mediating the strong interactions. In addition, we have explored properties of kaonic hypernuclei strange systems made of nucleons, hyperons and K- mesons. We observed saturation also in these objects. Since the (K) over bar separation energy B-(K) over bar does not exceed 200 MeV, multi-(K) over bar nuclei lie energetically well above multi-hyperonic nuclei and it is unlikely that kaon condensation could occur in strong-interaction self-bound hadronic matter.

Name and surname of the author: Lenka Synková Institution: Charles University, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové, Department of Social Medicine, Department of Nursing Název práce: Preoperative and Postoperative Education of Patient with Total Hip Replacement Vedoucí práce: prof. PhDr. Jiří Mareš, CSc. Počet stran: 107 Počet příloh: 3 Rok obhajoby: 2017 Klíčová slova: total hip replacement, education The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical-summary part and the empiric part. The theoretical part deals with the following topics: Problems of the hip, Degenerative hip disease, Total hip replacements, Perioperative period, Hospital admission of a patient, THR surgery, Immediate postoperative care, Nursing care communication and education, Preoperative education of a THR patient, Postoperative care of a THR patient. The empiric part includes a survey probing that took place in Praha - Malvazinky Hospital with 50 patients after THR surgery. It surveyed the education in following three stages: ambulant, preoperative and postoperative. The statistics analysis revelaled that none of the nursing groups dominated during the patients' education in all three stages. No significant difference in ambulant and preoperative stages between the time of education provided by doctors and nurses was...
