Support of school preparedness in the last year of kindergarten

1 ABSTRACT The theme of bachelor's work is to support school readiness in the last year of nursery school. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the period of preschool age and its characteristics. Further, are defined the concepts of school readiness, school readiness, enrolment in the first year of nursery school, postponement of school attendance and its reasons. It is described and analysed pedagogical diagnostics, its methods and support options for children with the postponement of school attendance in kindergarten. The practical part is realized in the research the investigation of the possible ways of pedagogical diagnostics to verify the assumptions of the child before commencement of compulsory schooling. Part of the work are three case studies of children with delayed compulsory school attendance, in which are taken into account, the proposed recommendation of the pedagogical-psychological counseling for the creation of the plans of the pedagogical support, which are directed to the overall development of the child.
Diagnostic use of drawings by children aged 5-6 in kindergarten (comparing drawings in terms of right-handedness and left-handedness).

The bachelor thesis deals with the diagnostic use of the drawing in kindergarten in children aged 5-6 years, compares the drawings from the point of view of rightness and left-handedness. It describes the characteristics of a pre-school child and summarizes the development of its personality in the physical, mental and social spheres. In part of the theoretical part, the work is generally familiar with the education of a child in kindergarten. The specifics of pre-school education and school maturity and readiness are elaborated in more detail. The core part describes the characteristic features of rendering of the drawing in pre-school age and defines the individual stages of drawing development. The research part of the thesis focuses on the drawing of children in kindergarten. Specifically for the analysis of children's drawings, which provides a closer look at understanding the child's artistic expression before entering elementary school. The bachelor thesis draws attention to the deferment of left-handed children and their number in kindergarten. The aim of the work is to follow and then evaluate the expressions from the point of view of the correctness and the left-handiness of the children before the beginning of the compulsory school attendance. Family Centre as a child` s preparation for attending the kindergarten

The main topic of the thesis is the activity of the family center and its activities. These activities help families with children in gradual adaptation and socialization into the collective. On the basis of these activities, the family center solves problems of modern families and helps in coordinating work and family life and thus helps children in entering the kindergarten. The first chapter is focusing on family and its characteristics. It also depicts the family politics specifically the possibilities of coordinating family and work life based upon the interests and needs of the families and support within the framework of services regarding the childcare. Second chapter focuses on the child, its development at two years of age and its needs. With regards to the methodological part of the thesis, it also focuses on adaptation and socialization into the collective and games as a spontanneous and natural child activity. The last chapter looks at the family center, its mission and goals. The methodological part of the thesis is realised as a case study in the specific family center. Differences between the homogenous and heterogenous classes arranged at maternity schools, plus the influence of these arrangements on the child's preparedness to enter the first grade of elementary school.

Résumé This thesis deals with finding differences between homogeneously and heterogeneously assorted classes in nursery schools and their influence on the readiness of a child to enter the first class in elementary school. The theoretical part focuses on school maturity and readiness, general characterization of a pre-school child before entering the first class in elementary school, differences between heterogeneously and homogeneously assorted classes in nursery schools and finally on a child's preparedness for the compulsory education. The practical part shows the results of a research carried out by the means of an author's test of school maturity method and a questionnaire. The research sample consisted of children of pre-school age before entering elementary schools from heterogeneous and homogeneous nursery school classes and pedagogues from nursery and elementary schools. The main objective of this research was to find out which children are better prepared for entering elementary school, whether from homogeneous or heterogeneous classes in nursery schools. Comparation of pre-primary, primary education and a child's entry to school in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands

The thesis deals with comparison of pre-school and primary education and child's entry to school in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. It is devided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. In the theoretical part is summarized pre-school and primary education from both countries. Through the historical overview we come to nowadays school educational systems, ongoing debates and policy trends planned for the future. The practical part deals with child's transfer from second to third grade in the Netherlands. With a use of the record sheets I follow and evaluate the child's development in the last year of preschool in the Czech Republic and in the second grade of Dutch primary school. The aim of the thesis is on to determine how are children in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands prepaired at the age of 5-6 years for entering the school. The question is whether Dutch children are affected and more prepaired from compulsory school attendance than children in the Czech Republic.
