How pupils use digital technology when doing school homework

The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the role of the digital technologies in the homework preparation of the pupils, how do they use the digital technologies and whether they use it for the learning at all. This thesis evaluates also if the pupils can use the digital technologies for learning and in which way they use them, what is their vision of learning, what pluses and minuses in the digital technology usage see the pupils from the sixth to ninth grade. How do the parents encourage their children to use these technologies for the homework. The theoretical part focuses on the role and possibilities of using digital technologies in the education and homework of pupils as well as on the possible positive and negative aspects of using DT in the life of sixth to ninth grade pupils of nine-year primary school. It also describes the developmental characteristics of older school-age children and net generation. The practical part deals with a research survey performed among 169 pupils of a primary school in Most with the aim to discover whether and in which way are the pupils using the digital technology for the homework and what are the preferred technologies. Opportunities and obstacles of further education of pedagogical staff

The aim of this thesis is to find out which areas of further education teachers prefer and which they would use in practice, to compare the relation between the personal choice of the teacher and the necessary reality and to identify teachers' motivation for further education as well as its current conditions. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and describes the issue of further education of teachers in legislation. It identifies education policy strategies. It compares teacher training in past and present times. It characterizes contemporary forms of teachers' further education and also mentions its problems. In the research part the author examines the preferred areas of further education of teachers at his school in the form of a questionnaire survey, and at the same time compares the situation between the personal choice of the teacher and reality. Semi-structured interviews with teachers identify their motivation and current conditions for further education. The survey could provide feedback to the school management.
The introduction of lean manufacturing into an engineering company

The diploma thesis is focused on implementation of lean production through using Lean Six Sigma method into an engineering company, producing cable harnesses for the automotive industry, mainly for trucks. The aim of the project is to increase production capacity by 25 %, reduce wastage rate to 3 % and design a new layout of production areas. The budget of this project is 3 million CZK. The production was slimmed down using the 5S methodology. To meet the aim of the project, three new machines had to be bought. The steps have resulted in a saving of 64 CZK per piece, which means a return on investment in about 8 months.
Improvement of manufacturing technology of flange

This diploma thesis focuses on improvement of the existing technology of the flange part in cooperation with the company Znojemské strojírny, s r.o. The theoretical part describes the technologies used in machining of the component. Subsequently, cutting materials and aluminum alloys are dealt with. A detailed analysis of the existing technology is performed in the practical part of the thesis followed by rationalization of the production process, which was carried out with respect to time and financial savings. A new technological procedure is developed after the improvement of the current production process. Finally, a technical-economic evaluation of the design improvement process is carried out.
Optimalization of cutting process for machining of aluminium profile on CNC centre

This master‘s thesis deals with the suggestion of suitable tools for milling aluminum alloys profiles for the construction of aperture fillings and their aplication to a CNC machining center for increasing the efficiency of the cutting process. The first part of the thesis is focused on the description of the company and the workplace of production of aluminum alloys constructions. The following pages contain description of standardized products, which are used to identify the test profile that is part of the experimental verification. Next part of this thesis is characteristic of aluminum alloys and tool materials suitable for their machining. Second part of this work contains an analysis of the current state, suggestion of new cutting tools and their application to the production proces. At the end of this thesis there is the technical-economic evaluation that deals with the time and economic savings of the applied design.
Sample preparation for tensile test from a form-complex part using Reverse Engineering and CAD/CAM systems

The Master's thesis deals with the proposition of a suitable methodology to produce test specimens intended for tensile testing. Considering the irregular geometries of the parts and deformations in previous tests, reverse engineering was used to obtain a CAD model that was used to control dimensions and create a machining strategy. This thesis also includes an analysis of current technologies in the field of reverse engineering.
Theoretical analysis of bearing production

The first part of this thesis was devoted to the characteristics of bearings and their importance in technical practice. The second part has a search character. It deals with an overview of the conventional methods of sliding and rolling bearings production. This is the main part of this thesis. Part of the thesis is also compilation of technological process of production of selected part of rolling bearing. This is the outer ring of the axial spherical roller bearing.
An analysis of the heat-affected surface layer after grinding of the bearing rings

The object of this bachelor thesis is a determination of the causes of burns origin at the surface layer of a workpiece after a grinding process and their elimination. The first chapter is focused on the description of the grinding technology, grinder types and grinding tools. The second chapter deals with the characterisation of the process fluids, their use and suitability depending on the cut conditions and the material. The third chapter explains what a burn is, the causes of its origin and the ways of subsequent elimination of this adverse event. The experimental part – performed in the Schaeffler Skalica, spol. s r.o. company – deals with the origin of the heat affected surface layer due to improper dressing grinding parameters and improper choice of intervals between dressing processes of the grinding wheel. At the experiment two different grinding wheels were used; subsequently, they were compared to each other from the point of view of suitability for the machining process. The final chapter comprises the experimental part assessment and a summary of the findings in this topic.
Optimizing of rotating components production

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the analysis and following optimalization of technological process of manufacturing the component „Pouzdro“ which is turned on CNC lathe Hardinge Talent 8/52 and milled on Kovosvit MAS MCV 750. The goal of this bachelor thesis is design of production method when will used only CNC lathe DOOSAN PUMA 2100SY, choice of the tools and comparsion of this two methods of the technological processes with regard to production time, lifetime of the tools and economy of production.
Design of replicated production of the selected part using the technology Reverse Engineering and Rapid prototyping

This study has been as a diploma project at BUT. Theoretical part describes the most used methods in Reverse engineering and Rapid Prototyping. Each method describes its characteristics, usability and pros and cons in general. Practical part of this study deals with application of these methods. Goal of this work has been to obtain a digital model of a winker from Škoda 1000 car using optical scanner ATOS, making a new master model in CATIA software, analyzing its dimensions compared to the scanned model and choosing a suitable manufacturing technology with emphasis on functional properties of this component.
