Nursing care of patient provided by a mobile hospice nurse

My bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and nursing part. In the theoretical part, I deal with three large units, which are "Death and dying", "Palliative care" and "Mobile specialized palliative care facilities". In the chapter entitled Death and dying, I acquaint readers with the model of five stages of mourning and the different periods of dying. In the chapter dedicated to palliative care, I try to approach the issue of palliative care. In this chapter, I deal with the types of palliative care, the indication of palliative care in terminally ill patients as well as legislative amendments and ethical aspects of this kind of care. My last and largest unit in the theoretical part is the chapter called "Mobile specialized palliative care facilities" where I mention the history and presence of mobile hospices just like legal norms, requirements imposed on providers, and financing of mobile hospices. I also mention the target group of MSPC (Mobile Specialized Palliative Care), its indications and the multi-professional team of a mobile hospice where I mainly focus on the role of a nurse in a mobile hospice. Nursing care of a patient on the extracorporal membrane oxygenation

v anglickém jazyce The bachelor thesis describes a case of a young woman who was hospitalized in anesthesiology-resuscitation department and had been treated with the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. The bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part provides an anatomic-physiological introduction, analyzes the issue of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) its indications and contraindications, and describes pathological conditions that occurred to the young woman during hospitalization. In the practical part there is a case report of the young woman, her admission history, important milestones of hospitalization in anesthesiology- resuscitation department, main nursing problems that occur in nursing care of patients connected to the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. The next chapter refers to the patient's long-term care and how to help patients treated with ECMO. In the discussion I compare the nursing care of patients treated by the ECMO method in the General Teaching Hospital and the University Hospital in Plzeň. I also report the results of ECMO treatment on a global scale.
