Chemical-mineralogical analysis of historic renders of the chateau complex Cítoliby
Frankeová, Dita ; Hauková, Petra ; Petráňová, Veronika ; Krejčí, Jan
The study deals with the condition of the historical plaster of the fence-barrier walls of the former castle complex. An analysis of eight samples (6x mortar, 2 stone) was performed to determine the quality of the plaster binder and determine the degree of salination.
Chemical and microstructural characterization of the render, sampled from the Garden wall of the US Embassy in Prague 1
Slížková, Zuzana ; Frankeová, Dita ; Viani, Alberto ; Hauková, Petra ; Koudelková, Veronika ; Svoboda, Milan
The aim of the work was to analyze the mortar taken from the Garden wall (US Embassy, Prague 1). Analyzes were performed for the binder and filler characterization and the sample was also dissolved in HCl to determine the mixing ratio.

Slížková, Zuzana ; Viani, Alberto ; Koudelková, Veronika ; Frankeová, Dita ; Hauková, Petra
The aim of this work was to analyze mortar from Petschek villa, XRD and SEM-EDX analyzes have been proposed, which results in the characterization of aggregate and mortar binders. The analyses proved gypsum plaster with surface paint.
Chemical and mineralogical analyses of plaster samples from State Castle Krakovec
Slížková, Zuzana ; Frankeová, Dita ; Hauková, Petra ; Viani, Alberto
With using microscopic analysis, thermal analysis, and XRD, it was determined that both analyzed mortar samples are lime mortars with admixtures of clay minerals. The contained sand in the mortar is quartz, there are also grains of feldspar and mica, the structure of the two mortars is different.

The report contains the results of the material analyses of plasters and stone samples taken from the facades and interior plasters of the historical building named “Nové Probošství” (Pražský hrad, nám. sv. Jiří č.p. 34).). The topic of the study was determination of the chemical composition and the microstructure of historical plasters and renders, sandstone petrography, porosity of materials by means of MIP, water absorption of plasters by tubes, the water content and the moisture distribution in masonry wall, the content and the chemical composition of water-soluble salts in plasters and renders. The results of the study serves as the basis for the future design of the building renovation and the restoration of the artistic elements.\n
Desing and production of specialized lime binders for restoration of monuments using historical technologies
Válek, Jan ; Matas, Tomáš ; Jiroušek, Josef ; van Halem, Eveline ; Hauková, Petra ; Frankeová, Dita ; Frankl, Jiří ; Tomanová, Olga ; Panáček, Michal
The methodological guideline supports the use of traditional lime materials for repair of historical buildings. It describes the main steps to be carried out when it is required to use a traditional lime mortar. The guideline provides an overview of the circumstances for using traditional technologies which are applied in the design and selection of lime binder and its treatment. It specifies essential procedures and principles that determine traditional production and processing of lime and recommends specific procedures for the lime processing and mortar production. The guideline is intended for architects, building engineers, cultural heritage conservators, conservation scientists, technologists, restorers and practitioners.
