Czech Public's Attitudes to Foreign countries – November 2019

In November survey CVVM investigated how sympathetic or unsympathetic are some selected countries to the Czech public. In this survey 25 countries were selected. The most sympathetic country among them according to Czech citizens is Slovakia followed by Austria, Sweden, Italy, France and Great Britain.
Brand perception of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic

The final report is the output of research regarding „ Brand perception of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic“. The report presents the results of representative research, the target group for which was the population of the Czech Republic ages 15 and older. Data was collected between 5 and 20 October 2019 through personal questioning of respondents (a combination of CAPI and PAPI) based on a standardised questionnaire. A total of 1,021 respondents were questioned, and these individuals were selected using a quota method according to region, the size of the place of residence, age, and education level.
Attitudes of the Czech Public to Climate Change on Earth – October 2019

In October survey CVVM dealt with the currently very discussed topic, which is climate change on Earth. We were interested in what the Czech public thinks about this topic. Specifically, we investigated whether Czech citizens are interested in the issue of climate change, whether they believe that climate change on Earth is occuring at all, and why this change is caused, whether they feel personal responsibility for climate change and whether they think they can contribute to climate change mitigation. One of the questions also concerned the opinion of respondents on the probability of introducing early arrangements to mitigate climate change in sufficient number of countries. At the end, we were interested in whether respondents fear the impacts of climate change and whether, according to them, climate change will have any impact on the Czech Republic.
Czech Public on Climate Strikes – October 2019

In October survey CVVM asked all respondents several questions concerning their opinion on climate strikes, the so-called Fridays for Future, which is also the name of movement under whose heading these protests are taking place. It is an international movement of pupils and students who decided to take part in demonstrations instead of Friday school classes, appealing to politicians to take resolute actions against global warming and other climate changes. In the research, we surveyed respondents on these strikes, whether they know what they mean, whether they endorse them, whether they think it is right that young people to strike instead of school classes, or what they think about the success of these climate strikes.
Czech Public on So-Called Istanbul Convention – October 2019

In October 2019 the Public Opinion Research Centre included two questions related to the currently discussed topic of the so-called Instabul Convention. Specifically, we investigated whether the respondents knew what this Convention was concerned and whether, in their opinion, the Czech Parliament should had or had not have approved the Istanbul Convention

A regular CVVM survey in September 2019 investigated the opinions of the Czech Public on the level of education and the opportunities to receive education in the Czech Republic. More specifically, the questions were focused on the level of education in selected types of schools, the possibility to gain education based on one´s abilities, the evaluation of one´s own education in terms of developing certain skills and competences and how the educational system is able to develop different aspects of pupils and students.

Standard school classification was used for the evaluation, where the best performance is represented by number one and the worst performance by number five.

We were also interested about Czech public's opinions to the future of the of the united Europe. The part of this survey was also question about the impact of the UK leaving the EU.
The Czech public's views on foreign nationals – March 2019

In March 2019 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to foreigners. Respondents commented on foreigners who live in the Czech Republic and in their place of residence. Research also included set of questions about general attitudes connected to foreigners such as their impact on Czech culture, unemployment, health ricks and economy. Respondents also evaluated whether foreigners are the solution of problem of ageing population in the Czech Republic.
