Intervention approaches in support of pupils with ADHD in Zlinsky region

The theme of the master thesis is the intervention approaches used to support pupils with a specific behavioral disorder. The main aim of the thesis is to map the content of the consultancy services in Zlin Region, which are provided to pupils with specific behavioral disorders in schools and school counseling facilities, specifically pedagogical-psychological counselling centres. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. Basic concepts will be defined in the first chapter. The following chapter presents classification and differentiation of specific behavioral disorder from a medical point of view, risk factors of development of specific behavioral disorder, major and associated shows of specific behavioral disorder and its consequences. The third chapter deals with interventions and treatment options for specific behavioral disorders including prevention. Foreign approaches to pupils with a specific behavioral disorder are also outlined in this chapter. The researching part contains a chapter devoted to the methodology of research. There are included research objectives, research issues, data collection methods and the definition of a research sample. The following chapter already provides data analysis and interpretation. Reliability Evaluation of Visual Perception Test

This thesis called Verification of a Reliability of The Visual Perception Test built on a pilot study of Felcmanová (2015), who using test-retest reliability, developed a test for visual perception. Due to previous research including a smaller sample size, the main aim of this thesis was to gather data of a larger sample and compare the new and previous results. Given this objective, the test-retest methodology was therefore adopted for this project as well. Besides this main goal, recommendations were formulated for adjusting the test and manual (more detailed instructions, practical demonstration and evaluation examples). Simultaneously this research diagnosed the level of visual perception of children forming the research sample. The theoretical backgrounds builds the backdrop of current knowledge in the field of visual perception and diagnostic, to which results were eventually related. It further describes specifics of diagnostic of children in pre-school age. The chosen sample for the verification of reliability consisted of 57 pre-school age children. Application of Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment in Preschool Education

This master's thesis deals with the Instrumental Enrichment Method of Reuven Feuerstein. It provides an introduction to the method as well as examples of its application in institutionalized Preschool education. The aim of the thesis is to provide insight into aspects of introducing the method as a part of Preschool education. The theoretical part desribes the theoretical framework of the method and defines the method in relation to Preschool education. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with the principles and Czech legislation of current Preschool education and related inclusive education. The practical part of the thesis derives from a qualitative research on the real practice introduction of the method in institutionalized Preschool education. Research data are based on individual interviews with the nursery school headmasters. The interviewers were from various nursery schools across the Czech Republic, which are registered in the Register of Ministry of Education. The results of the research provide the respondents's opinions and experiences of various extent. Possibilities of support in the education of the second generation immigrant pupils

The prime subject this thesis is the issue of support in the education of pupils from the second generation of Ukrainian migrants in primary schools. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of basic concepts, a summary of the findings from previous research on the second generation of migrants, an analysis of the legislative framework, which accompanies explored problems, and identification of the potential risks posed by the pupils migrant background. The aim of the research section was to determine specific barriers in the process of education and integration of pupils from the second generation of Ukrainian migrants and what forms and means of support in the field of education and social inclusion are used by teachers on these students. The necessary data was obtained with the help of semi-structured interviews with selected educators, with young people from the second generation of Ukrainian migrants, and with a specialist who is engaged in integration counseling. Project of class for puppils with autism implementing knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis

The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the education of an autistic pupil in the mainstream school according to the principles of applied behavioural analysis. The default method is the Pennsylvania Verbal Behavior Project, which was implemented at a Czech primary school. The thesis presents a theoretical description of this educational method and its particular techniques. Their practical application is illustrated by the research case study report of a pupil, who was observed in my research. In this research case analysis, I have analysed the input skills of the observed pupil and his progress in particular areas and evaluated status not only according to the VB-MAPP diagnostic material. Description of the development of verbal behaviour is the core objective systematically developed by this educational method and it is an integral part of the pupil's active participation in joint learning. This Diploma Thesis is designed as a case study based on qualitative research focusing on searching the options of support on pre-school children development in the environment of shelters for mothers or families with children. In the theoretical part starting points are presented regarding the issues of family, shelter, school maturity and readiness as well as an issue of constituent functions, possibilities of their diagnostics and development. The initial part of the empiric part describes methodological processes and a research plan is presented. Followed by research report regarding the study in twelve shelters in Prague. One of the research goals was to design a simple manual of development for children aged 3-6 which might have been used as a support for social workers in those shelters. The research tools included questionnaires and interviews among social workers. The questionnaires helped to map the size of shelters, length of stay and characteristic of their clients, approach of institutions to the development of pre-school and school age children as well as the attitudes of social workers towards such development of pre-school children. Possibilities of Motor Skills Assessment at Preschool Children

This diploma thesis introduces the options for motor skills assessment of preschool children in the pedagogical and health care setting. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author describes the psychomotor development of a child with a focus on the preschool period. The following chapter provides an overview of pedagogical and healthcare professions that mostly focus on the psychomotor development matters. The following chapters analyse the options for motor skills diagnostics in preschool children, including an overview of the most commonly used tests. In the practical part, a set of diagnostic tasks was created for the purpose of rough estimation of motor skills levels of preschool children. The suggested task set was then put to a clinical trial in five kindergartens in two cities in the Czech Republic. The practical part consists of a description of individual tasks in the task set, their evaluation, description of the used sample of children, administration of the task set and collection of data in accordance with stated ethical principles of research. This thesis focuses on the possibilities for influencing the motivation of pupils with specific learning disabilities during special pedagogical interventions conducted at schools. The aim of this study is to determine which of the approaches used by specialised pedagogues within the field of specialised pedagogical practice are most effective in increasing the motivation of pupils with learning disabilities and why. One of the sub-goals of this work is to describe the principles for strengthening motivation in special pedagogical interventions. This thesis is divided into two parts: the teoretical and the research part. The theoretical part deals with specific learning disabilities, terminological definitions, etiology and reeducation. It also focuses on motivation, its types, influencing factors and its application. The research part with the use of qualatitive research methods seeks to explore perception of special pedagogues on the role of motivation and support of pupils with specific learning disabilities motivation during the intervention.
