Motivation of Elemntary School Pupils in Physical Education Classes

This diploma thesis is focused on motivation of pupils in physical education classes at elementary school. Its aim is to find out how teachers motivate their pupils in PE classes and what response these pupils give to this motivation. In the theoretical part some terms and theories concerning motivation and its use in PE classes are mentioned. In the practical part, I focused on observing motivational elements in PE classes and their subsequent analysis. The research was carried out at two elementary schools - ZŠ Mníšek pod Brdy and ZŠ Stará Huť. It took place amongst pupils from 1st to 5th year.
Specifics of nutrition during preparation for 50km race walker

This dissertation will give us insight into racewalking as a discipline, we will learn interesting facts from the history, then it will introduce us to its specifics and differences. Thereafter, the dissertation focuses on the structure of performance and training in racewalking. The main focus of my dissertation is the topic of nutrition, which is the key factor in the overall performance. It describes all the necessary components of a diet, which are very important in a well prepared pre-race training. The next fundamental theme is the replenishment of glycogen, which is needed for a proper work of muscles and to correctly utilize the supercompensation diet. Furthermore, the forms, rules and methods of being on a supercompensation diet will be shown on specific cases. Last, but not least, it will cover the importance of fluid intake for an athlete.
Didactics of physical education at the 1. degree of primary school

This thesis is focused on managing and organizing the activities in a lesson of physical education at the 1. degree of primary school. The aim is to find out what teaching styles and principles teachers of physical education use, whether the teachers follow the recommended structure of a lesson and if they use the time in the lesson unit efficiently. Fitness training in tennis

The graduation thesis deals with fitness training of children tennis players. The fitness training plan to improve fitness and skill levels of an experimental group has been designed by the author of the thesis on the basis of findings of scientific literature. The research part of the thesis was conducted by experiment. The experiment compares the differences in growth of performance between the experimental group and the control group and answers the basic question of the thesis if the designed plan is useful and fully operational for fitness training of children tennis players. In the conclusion the author presents the evaluation of her findings for further work with children.
Teaching Athletics at the First Grade of Primary School

Zdeňka Engelthalerová Goal of Diploma Thesis: The purpose of this study is to investigate attitudes and experiences of teachers towards teaching athletics in primary schools. Methodology: Data was collected in the form of questionnaires adresssed to 72 teachers and 123 pupils of primary schools from Central Bohemian Region. The teachers were questioned about their attitudes towards the quality of sports equipment in their primary schools and their attitudes and experiences towards teaching athletics. Pupils were questioned about their enthusiasm for physical education, especially for athletics. Conclusions: The findings conclude that the quality of sports equipment in primary schools is low and teachers (graduate of Pedf UK) are not well educated in teaching athletics. The findings also conclude that the attitude of teachers towards teaching athletics influences quality of teaching athletics. Věra Kuhnová ABSTRACT: The issue of declining physical fitness and physical versatility children nowadays is evident from many other studies. To what extent is the child's physical versatility and overall physical fitness in the third grade of primary school pupils also a lifestyle associated with the place of residence of the village amenities, technical equipment of primary schools and, ultimately, value orientation of children and their parents the time to a common physical activities? On these questions it tries to answer this thesis. Means to compare the physical fitness of students in this study used a test battery Badge Eventing Olympic champions. Labour is trying to describe possible aspects influencing any difference in physical fitness of students third grade through questionnaires and interviews with physical education teachers and parents.
