Human rights in international criminal proceedings
Bureš, Pavel ; Šturma, Pavel (advisor) ; Čepelka, Čestmír (referee) ; David, Vladislav (referee)
Právnická fakulta Univerzity Karlovy v Praze Katedra mezinárodního práva Mgr. Pavel Bureš Human Rights in International Criminal Procedure Praha 2011 2 Abstract The rapid development of International Criminal Law in the second half of 20th century and especially on its end is marked by a proliferation of international criminal judicial organs and thereby by a huge increase and development of procedural norms determining these organs' jurisdiction and functioning but also specifying procedural status of individuals - suspected and accused persons, victims. The submitted thesis focuses on one of the aspects of individuals procedural status, namely their procedural guarantees - human rights in international criminal procedure. The analyse of human rights in international criminal procedure (the proceedings before International Criminal Court) was done having been backed by statutory regulations of international military tribunals and ad hoc tribunal for Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda and their case-law. The hypothetical start point was to consider that procedural guarantees in the ICC procedure established by Rome Statute in 1998 are on a highest level and more detailed than these guarantees enshrined in ad hoc tribunals Statutes and even in international universal or regional human rights protecting...
Self-administration of the Parish in Utraquism
Kůrka, Pavel ; Rejchrtová, Noemi (advisor) ; Zilynská, Blanka (referee) ; David, Zdeňek V. (referee)
This thesis analyzes self governing elements in administration of the Utraquist parishes. It is based on of medieval legal order and shows, how it was changed under the influence of Hussite and later reformational ecclesiology and by secular developments in the 16th Century. Besides the election of the parish priest it focuses mainly on lay administration of parish property, it deals with position and authority of chantry officials. Regarding the state of sources, the focus is on the situation in Bohemian Royal towns around 1600. The thesis concludes that the most important factor for penetration of the lay element into the administration was the secular law usage, not the confessional evolution. Financial analysis and the forecast of the future development of the company M-SILNICE, a. s.
David, Václav ; Marek, Petr (advisor) ; Pekař, Jan (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to perform a financial analysis and the forecast of the future development of the company M-SILNICE, a. s. based on publicky available data for the period of 2009 - 2014. The methodological part summarizes all the approaches that are then used in the analytical chapter, which contains of horizontal and vertical analysis of the financial statements, commented results of the ratio indicators, a comparison with company's competitors and industry and revaluation of the overall financial situation of the company using the bankruptcy and creditworthy models. Afterwards, on a base of the precessed financial analysis, the forecast of the future development of the company is drawn up for a year 2015.
Regenerative chatter in turning
David, Václav ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor)
Regenerative chatter in turning negatively affects the cutting process, the tool live and the machined surface. In this work is a vibration discriebed by using mathematical formulas or terms. There are listed some causes of creation vibration in turning and some basic methods of complete removal or partial reduction. The second part of this work contains examples of measure and analysis in connection with using of modern software.
High-throughput analysis of uridine insertion and deletion RNA editing in \kur{Perkinsela}
DAVID, Vojtěch
This thesis is a follow-up of my Bachelor thesis about the mitochondrial genome of kinetoplastid protist Perkinsela sp. This work introduces a novel approach in high-throughput analysis method of uridine insertion and deletion RNA editing, describes its background and proposes its further development. Its effect on the interpretation of U-indel editing, both in Perkinsela and in general, is demonstrated via attached manuscript which also introduces other biologically relevant aspects of Perkinsela mitochondrion.
Assessment of vulnerability of water reservoirs to sediment loads and eutrophication caused by soil erosion
Krása, J. ; Rosendorf, P. ; Hejzlar, Josef ; Borovec, Jakub ; Dostál, T. ; David, V. ; Ansorge, L. ; Duras, J. ; Janotová, B. ; Bauer, M. ; Devátý, J. ; Strouhal, L. ; Vrána, K. ; Fiala, D.
This methodology has the following aims: Allow any investigator to evaluate the erosion and transport of sediment phosphorus in large river basins. Allow investigators to estimate the importance of erosion for the eutrophication of the target reservoir. Allow investigators to estimate the importance of other sources of phosphorus in the watershed. Allow investigators to estimate the behavior of the other tanks in the current state of phosphorus loads from the watershed. The methodology is focused on solutions in large river basins.
Assembly and annotation of a mitochondrial genome of kinetoplastid protist \kur{Perkinsela}.
DAVID, Vojtěch
This thesis is based on a collaborative project between Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Protists led by Prof. Julius Lukeš and the laboratory of John Archibald (Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Dalhousie University, Canada). My contribution to the project, as the name of the thesis suggests is to process DNA and RNA sequencing data from Neoparamoeba pemaquidensis isolate that correspond to the mitochondrion of Perkinsela, also called Ichthyobodo-related organism (IRO). The main aim is to characterize mitochondrial gene content and to attempt to understand the mechanism of U-insertion/deletion RNA editing in Perkinsela and its evolution.
