Performance Art as a Border Form of Artistic Expression
Vatulíková, Andrea ; Daněk, Josef (referee) ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Chamonikolasová, Kaliopi (advisor)
While taking into account the field of study of performing arts, I assume that the category called „performing arts“ underwent many reforms in the 20th century, making it almost impossible to set clear boundaries between theatre, dance and performance art. Therefore I deal with their common ground that I call the zero point and that allows me to explore means of expression of human body and also time – space dimension of live action. The zero point is located in the pelvic region of the body and it is the center of stability, balance and life enegry. In my dissertation I focus on the analysis of physical trainings that work with the zero point in theater, dance and performance arts. Primary output of this work is then analysis of physicality as culturally encoded construct and the practical part of disseration is focused on the realisation of the point zero symposium.

Interpretation of organ music
Bařák, Hynek ; Daněk, Josef (referee) ; Malý, Břetislav (advisor)
In my diploma thesis I want to deal with another topic which is very interesting and important for me and that is organ and organ music in general and everything that belongs to them. From history, production, maintenance to play itself. In most of my previous works, not only at college but also earlier, fragments of this instrument appear in my paintings (mainly whistles, which are actually the most visible and their size determines the size of whole organs and is their precept) even though I have devoted myself on another topic, these fragments I had some need to plant there.  Organs are referred to as the royal instrument, they are the largest and mechanically the most complicated musical instrument. That is the complexity I would like to express in my pictures, I do not mean the complexity of the organ for the technical, construction, but especially the complexity of playing. The need for the right combinations of different registers with differently colored tones and tools. Swap pedal handbooks, etc. This is all about fascination for me.  In this diploma thesis I want to use the themes that appeared on the surface often as secondary or I did not put such emphasis or were the main topic for example only one semester, but in fact I continued to work with them subconsciously in the same way, Layers, Recycling, Reaction to Substrates, etc. It could be said that such organ compositions are such layers as Bach's or any fugues that are gradually being added, layers of new and new tones often result in the the full extent that the organ is able to administer.  The layer I used to work with before, and actually always appears in my works, has actually become an integral part of my paintings. I want to express the complexity of the organ compositions in my paintings, as I do. Not only by layering, but also by using different techniques, not just acrylic. I also used this in my previous work, and examined how they work with each other. I have responded to differently produced backgrounds.  Organ music can be considered complicated because all we hear is produced by one person. Who must play and cater everything else that is associated with it, except perhaps the bells pedaling.  This series of images will not, in the end, express myself visually, at first sight nothing concrete, over time I have come to a pretty abstract image. I do not mean to say that organ music is abstract, especially if I talk about Baroque or Classicism. Maybe in romanticism, for example, F. Liszt and his organ compositions are so complex and terribly crazy that I might consider them quite abstract. But just the organ music of Liszt, which I admire most, I think it is not possible to express it in abstract form. It's a mad, complicated tangle of different, tones, colors, games with registers, blinds, and so on, and I want to express it all on the canvas.
Ecosystem services in environmental policy and decision-making in the Czech Republic
Daněk, Jan
In response to the increasing popularity of the ecosystem services concept among scholars and policy makers\non the international level, it has become time to analyse the current state and possibilities for national\npolicy and decision-making in reflecting this concept. This article presents a sneak preview of research\nfocused on content analysis of environmental policy documents. Two current and one outdated climate\nchange policy document are analysed regarding notions of the ecosystem services concept and other aspects\nof an ecosystem-based approach. The output data show contrasting results, with the Adaptation\nStrategy scoring very high compared to the Climate Protection Policy, which almost does not reflect the\necosystem services or related ecosystem approach. Implications of the results and the entire context of the\nresearch are discussed in respective sections.
Monetary policy Trilemma of CBRT in the context of economic and political development of Turkey
Daněk, Jakub ; Žamberský, Pavel (advisor) ; Hnát, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to verify the validity of The Theory of Exchange Rate and The Theory of Monetary Policy Trilemma in the real environment and to analyze the effect of the trilemma on the monetary policy of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. I chose Turkey as an object of research because of its economic, political and monetary policy development in the second half of the twentieth century and in the twenty-first century. This thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter summarizes the theoretical framework related to the topic. In the second chapter, I describe and analyze the political and economic development of Turkey. In the third chapter, I verify the validity of the theories and analyze the relationships between macroeconomic variables using econometric methods and further evaluate these relationships based on the findings from the second chapter.

Introduction of Negative Numbers in the History of Algebra
Daněk, Jaroslav ; Kvasz, Ladislav (advisor) ; Jančařík, Antonín (referee)
I have divided this work in four chapters, according to the most important places of development of mathematics and his symbolism and I have described some specific historical period of progress of mathematics, which was in the global comparison the most attractive or developed. In the first chapter I occupy with Chinese mathematics, which keep the oldest mathematical knowledge already since the second millennium, therefore immediately on the first place of my work. The second chapter deal with the Indian mathematics, which leaves us knowledge of Indian mathematician Brahmagupta from the 7th century AD, who probably continues in Chinese mathematics. After that it follows mathematics of the Arab world, which had the biggest influence on the European mathematics, where the minus sign was definitively established and stabilized from the earlier rhetorical markings. The central figure, as this chapter, so the whole work, is the German mathematician Michael Stifel and his piece of work the Arithmetica integra. KEYWORDS negative numbers, equations, coefficient, solutions
Biological activity of plant metabolites XXII. Alkaloids of Papaver somniferum L. and their activity against human cholinesterases.
Daněk, Jiří ; Opletal, Lubomír (advisor) ; Chlebek, Jakub (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Botany and Ecology Candidate: Jiří Daněk Consultant: prof. RNDr. Lubomír Opletal, CSc. Title of Thesis: Biological activity of plant metabolites XXII. Alkaloids of Papaver somniferum L. and their activity against human cholinesterases. During the screening of certain plant species for alkaloids with antioxidant activity and inhibition activity against human cholinesterases was studied opium poppy (Papaver somniferum L.). The basic extract was prepared from 7,0 kg of dry green poppy capsules percolated by 78 litres of ethanol. This extract was gradually alkalizated and individual extracts of each alkaloid type were prepared. In this thesis only the etheric extract was processed. It was divided gradually depending of the pH to several individual alkaloid fractions. Only the ADd fraction, containing chlorides insolubile in CHCl3 and bases solubile in CHCl3, was divided into individual alkaloids using the thin layer chromatography. One of the isolated alkaloids was codeine, which was indetified by mass spectroscopy, melting point and direct comparsion with standart. Codeine has the antioxidant activity EC50 >500 µM, inhibition activity agains human erythrocyte AChE IC50 = 3320 µM, inhibition activity against...
Assesing the complience of nature conservation in the Czech republic with international strategic objectives
Daněk, Jan ; Vačkář, David (advisor) ; Kružíková, Eva (referee)
The subject of the master thesis is the assessment of the compliance of nature conservation in the Czech Republic with international strategic objectives, analysing the mainstreaming of biodiversity across government and society and analysing the fulfilment of the commitments rising for the Czech Republic as a member of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The thesis is focused on an assessment of strategic goal A of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and its 4 Aichi targets related to the mainstreaming of biodiversity and ecosystem services in society and policy. The methodology used is a systematic search of available relevant documents and other related sources, especially the national reports from the Ministry of the Environment to the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity and other associated analysis and reports. Another aim of the thesis is summarizing the current state of the mainstreaming of biodiversity to governance and decision making and identifying the areas which are not included in the national strategic documents or are not included sufficiently. In addition to the theoretical analysis, the thesis suggests specific actions and indicators for reaching the targets included in the international strategic documents, particularly the Strategic plan of...
Properties of near-horizon geometry of spacetimes
Daněk, Jiří ; Žofka, Martin (advisor) ; Svítek, Otakar (referee)
Nowadays, the near-horizon regions of black holes have enjoyed great attention thanks to their role in the popular AdS/CFT correspondence and their specific geometry suitable for formulations of uniqueness theorems in higher dimensions. A strictly general-relativistic point of view reveals also many interesting phenomena taking place near black-hole horizons. Our aim was to investigate how horizon multiplicity affects near-horizon geometry, geodesical distance, radial motion of photons and massive, charged particles, and also the possibility of collision processes leading to unbound collision energies near the horizon. We chose the Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter metric, which, on the one hand, is simple thanks to being static and spherically symmetric but which, on the other hand, is rich enough to enable the existence of up to a doubly degenerate ultra-extreme horizon. After discussing the physical feasibility of the near-horizon limit, we applied it to single, double, and triple horizons, their near-horizon geometries, and local collision processes. We found continuous coordinate systems covering all types of horizons and analytic solutions for motion of radial photons and special or critical, massive, charged particles in their vicinity. We addressed particle collisions in the immediate vicinity of horizons...
