Simulating daily load profiles to evaluate tariff structures
Abdallah, Hadi ; Paar, Martin (oponent) ; Radil, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
This thesis deals with simulating daily load profiles for the purpose of evaluating tariff structures. The first part of the thesis examines the economic aspect of electricity supply-that is, electricity markets, tariff design, and tariff structures available in Czechia and other European countries. The thesis also covers the concept of integrated community energy systems. The key part is creating a model simulation for simulating daily load profiles using a bottom-up method and presenting multiple scenarios for determining the price of electricity in different scenarios.
Model Of Electric Energy Storage Using Openmodelica
Abdallah, Hadi
The following work deals with power-to-gas, an electric energy storage technology that converts excess electricity produced mainly by renewable energy sources to synthetic natural gas. A model in OpenModelica is further presented. The model consists of a photovoltaic plant and its connection to the electric grid, as well as a model of electrical energy storage in batteries for purposes of comparison.
Power to gas
Abdallah, Hadi ; Lázničková, Ilona (oponent) ; Radil, Lukáš (vedoucí práce)
This thesis deals with power-to-gas; an energy storage technology that converts excess electricity produced by renewable energy sources to synthetic natural gas. The objective was to present the current status of this technology and to create a power-to-gas model in OpenModelica. In addition to a detailed description of each part of the system, the model with simulation results and analysis are presented.
