Topographic mapping of rock formations usig GIS methods
Bashir, Faraz Ahmed ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Pavelka, Karel (referee)
Topographic mapping of rock formations using GIS methods Abstract This thesis deals with issues of creating 3D models of rock formations with data from terrestrial laser scanning, close range photogrammetry and UAV photogrammetry. The theoretical part focuses on explaining functioning and usage of those methods. Beside that there is described issues of 3D point cloud filtering. Practical part of this work describes data collecting and processing procedure. Further there is proposed filtering process which aim to remove noise points from point clouds and remove vegetation with combination of vegetation index ExG, clustering algorithm DBSCAN and Hough Transform. The proposed method is tested on the selected rock formation in Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The evaluation of the proposed method is based on comparison of models filtered with proposed method with reference models, which are filtered manually. Finally, the achieved accuracy of the models is evaluated using geodetic measurements. key words laser scanning, photogrammetry, UAV, point cloud, data filtering

Hanzel, Patrik ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Čábelka, Miroslav (referee)
RECONSTRUCTION OF PRIEVIDZA CITY FROM OLD PHOTOGRAPHS Abstract The work focuses on creating and visualization of digital 3D reconstruction of the historic core of Prievidza as it looked in 1929. Old photographs and other archival materials were used as the basis for the work. The theoretical part describes the issue of creating a 3D model and presents the possibilities of presenting a 3D model on the Internet. In particular, the possibilities offered by programs for creating a virtual tour were analyzed. The practical part of the work focuses on the creating of a 3D model in SketchUp, visualization of this model in Lumion, the creation of outputs and a comparison of three freely available programs for creating a virtual tour - Marzipano, Orbix360 and Kuula. Kuula was chosen for creation of a virtual tour. The results of the work are photos of a 3D model, a flythrough video published on YouTube channel and an online virtual tour. Keywords: reconstruction, visualization, old photographs, Prievidza city, 3D model, virtual tour, SketchUp, Lumion, Kuula
Historical development of Králodvorský zámek by geoinformation methods
Rusá, Veronika ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Čábelka, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with 3D reconstruction, visualization and subsequent presentation of object using geoinformation methods. The aim was to create a 3D model of the Králův Dvůr castle in three time periods based on data found. Historical photographs, construction documentation and other data were used for the reconstruction. When creating the 3D model, an effort was made to capture the appearance of the castle and its immediate surroundings as faithfully as possible. Other goals were the visualization of models and their presentation on a website. The secondary objectives were two studies of literature dealing with the issue of 3D modeling. The theoretical part describes the methods of 3D modeling, types of 3D models and their use, the theory of 3D and digital terrain models and interpolation methods. In practice, 3 models were created capturing the castle before 1253, 1970 and in 2020 in SketchUp, the visualization took place in Lumion software. The results are fly-through animations, and models presented on the Theasys website. The image outputs are further compared with historical photographs.
Animation of building construction
Kuncl, David ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on analysis of software for 3D animation of building construction, specifically of software, Anim8or, Blender and Maya, which are the most used representatives of freeware, open-source and commercial software. Based on this analysis is in choosen software created animation of Útulna, which final location will be arround Harrachov. In this thesis are described all main steps in proces of 3D animation creation. Next are reviewed advantages and disadvantages of 3D animation compared to 3D modelling and relevance of its usage.
Creating 3D models by a UAV
Marek, Robert ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Brodský, Lukáš (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the utilization of UAV for data collection for photogrammetric purposes. Its goal is to create 3D models from the data used by the UAV. These are processed in selected UAV softwares based on analysis. In addition to the basic principles of UAV photogrammetry, the theoretical part includes a search for appropriate methodology for the preparation and implementation of the flight mission. Data processing took place in the Pix4D, 3DSurvey, and the Reference Photoscan used for general visualization. The final part evaluates the resulting accuracy of the outputs. Selected softwares were compared from 16 different criteria, making the Pix4D software the most convenient for processing UAV data. The aim of the thesis is not only to point out the potential of UAV resources in visualization of spatial data, but also the softwares used for this specific data. Keywords UAV, UAV photogrammetry, 3D model, drone, Agisoft Photoscan, Pix4D, 3DSurvey
Creating 3D models by a UAV
Marek, Robert ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Brodský, Lukáš (referee)
The Thesis uses UAV to collect data for photogrammetric purposes. Its goal is to create 3D models from UAV data in selected software. These are applied based on the analysis of specific UAV-focused software. The theoretical part contains, besides the basic principles of UAV photogrammetry, a search for appropriate methodology for the preparation and implementation of the flight mission. Data processing took place in the Pix4D and 3DSurvey, compared to Agiosft Photoscan, used for general visualization. The resulting accuracy and quality of outputs is reviewed in the final section, where it is shown that UAV-specific softwares show greater accuracy of the model in position and space. The purpose of this research is to point out not only the potential of common UAV in visualization of spatial data, but also the software specific to these data. Keywords UAS, UAV photogrammetry, 3D model, Agisoft Photoscan, Pix4D, 3DSurvey
Analysis of software for creating 3D models of interiors
Maceška, David ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
This Bachelor's thesis is mainly focusing on analysis of software used for 3D modeling. The main goal is comparison Autodesk's proprietary software called 3ds Max with open-source software named Blender. The into part is about usability of 3D models and analysis of its existence. Followed by main part which includes an introduction and comparison of software already mentioned. Comparison is formed by technique and way of making 3D content. Hardware requirements for each software is also mentioned. The subjective best software for a 3D interior modeling is chosen by created criteria. The final part refers to other possibilities of creating 3D interior models. Keywords: 3D model, Autodesk, Blender, Interior
GIS application methods in antropology
Bashir, Faraz Ahmed ; Štefanová, Eva (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to use of geoinformatic methods in anthropology. Specifically methods of terrestrial laser scanning and close range photogrammetry. The theoretical part focuses on explaining functioning and usage of those methods. Practical part of this work discribes data collecting proces with those methods and following creation of 3D model of anthroplogical artifact, specifically human skull. In the end those models are compared with model from computed tomography which was provided, same as anthropological artifact, by Department of anthropology and human gentetics of Charles University.
