Electronic Xylophone
Čížek, Petr ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and create a working electronic xylophone which could be controlled by a programmable logic controller or by an Arduino based board. The finished xylophone could be used for promotional purposes of the faculty.
Monitoring of FDM printing process
Rafaja, Hynek ; Čížek, Petr (referee) ; Zatočilová, Aneta (advisor)
The target of this work is the development of a monitoring system for 3D printing by the Fused Deposition Modeling method, which will be able to identify printing error conditions. During the solving process the needed error conditions were identified. Then, an algorithm was programmed to identify the error condition using the criterion. The resulting Monitoring Hardware was implemented in the printer and experimentally verified. A system has been developed that can identify error conditions with an accuracy of 94.7%. The main benefit of this work is the automatic identification of error conditions that stop printing if necessary. This leads to a reduction in scrap and cost savings. In the future, the software could automatically adjust the print parameters when identifying an error condition. This would prevent or completely eliminate the error condition without user intervention.
FEM analysis of carriage for top drive system of drilling rig and its modification
Plachý, Jiří ; Čížek, Petr (referee) ; Klapka, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with FEM analysis and optimization of carriage for top drive system of drilling rig Bentec 350 AC and it is defined as a development contract for company MND Drilling & Services a.s. Intensive drilling leads to damages and repeated occurrence of fatigue cracks on carriage especially along edges of welded ribs in their heat-affected zone. The aim of this thesis is to draft construction improvements of carriage which leads to elimination of damages. Realization of this modifications depends on correct definition of boundary conditions, analysis of damage occurrence as well as verification of carriage drafts with finite element method.
Draft production line for light transmitting LiCrete blocks
Caletka, Tomáš ; Čížek, Petr (referee) ; Mazal, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a production line for manufacturing of light transmitting bricks LiCrete. This brick is a special interior design component which is made of concrete and light transmitting parts. It’s manufactured by casting into the dismountable molds. The research part explains manufacturing technology and possibilities to build production line. The concept solution part is about two concepts of production line and about a few ways how to integrate vibration machine into the line. Main part of the thesis describes mechanical design solution with focus on manipulators and vibration part. Last part of the thesis is about design of automation integration into the production line.
Jozef Fruček and Linda Kapetanea: artistic group Rootlessroot and Fighting Monkey program
Čížek, Petr ; OPAVSKÁ, Andrea (advisor) ; OVSOVÁ, Libuše (referee)
The main aim of this master thesis is to bring the personality of Jozef Frucek and Linda Kapetaney as a creator and pedagogue who influence their approach to European artistic events. Much of the work is devoted to the Rootlessroot Platform, through which they realize their work and the research movement Fighting Monkey, which reflects their pedagogical approach and way of thinking. In the individual chapters, the pillars of the Fighting Monkey - Anatomy of the Injury, Earthquake Architecture, and Anatomy of Events - are presented in more detail, and I will give them an example of movement games.
Automation of purchasing processes
Fortelný, Martin ; Vinš, Marek (advisor) ; Čížek, Petr (referee)
This research paper addresses the concept of automation within the context of direct procurement. It firstly aims to determine the theoretical extent to which it is possible to automate procurement processes and secondly, it aims to simulate the automation of specific processes in real business environment. The theoretical extent was determined via possible scenarios which automation could evolve into. The simulated automation was described on three distinct process steps and followed by quantitative and qualitative evaluation. Areas for significant savings were identified. The main contribution of this paper lies in specifying the maximum costs the business should pay for automating the three process steps.
Contemporary Chinese perceptions of top-level sport and its role in rise of China
Čížek, Petr ; Klimeš, Ondřej (advisor) ; Hudeček, Jiří (referee)
& KEYWORDS The topic of this thesis is a metatextual analysis of representative Chinese publications about sport published in the post-Olympic era. Together they offer a comprehensive perspective of the sport in China. The thesis employs critical approach to examine Chinese perception of their own history, Chinese motivation to develop competitive sports, the state- run sports system in China, as well as various problems and challenges lying ahead of Chinese sport, ready to be tackled. Part of the thesis offers an analysis of linguistic and ideological aspect of the Chinese publications. The thesis also encounters the topic of the rise of China (i.e. People's Republic of China) and offers brief explanations in relation to the main topic rather than in a broader context. Keywords: modern history of China, history of sport, sport in China, competitive sports, state-run sports system, language & ideology, Marxism, People's Republic of China
Design of knee joint simulator
Polnický, Vojtěch ; Čížek, Petr (referee) ; Vrbka, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the design and realization of an experimental device. The purpose of device is the simulation of dynamic and kinematic conditions of knee replacement during the walking cycle. The simulator will be used to study the formation of the lubricating film in contact of the femoral component and the polyethylene spacer, and to the cyclic wear tests for knee replacements. First part of thesis is focused on the description of working parameters of knee replacements and analysis of knee joint simulators. The description of conceptual design and selection of the final variation follows. The final design allows simulation of dynamic and kinematic conditions of ISO 14 243-3. Creation of lubricating film is analyzed by the non-contact optical fluorescence microscopy method. The work includes complete drawing documentation, wiring diagram, verification of the functionality of the device and detailed operating instructions.
Experimental 3D printer for the selective laser sintering of polymers
Kroutil, Tomáš ; Čížek, Petr (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with design and realization of experimental 3D printer for selective laser sintering of plastic powders. The output of the work is a device that can create the main process conditions for laser sintering. A diode laser is used in the device, which allows aluminum composite powders to be processed. The printer allows you to heat up the applied layer of powder and set-up space. The research section focuses on similar equipment, process parameters, laser technology and control system. The design section contains solution variants and a description of the chosen solution.
Origins of the japanese invasion to China
Čížek, Petr ; Maršálek, Jakub (advisor) ; Labus, David (referee)
This thesis describes the beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War, which occurred in 1937 and ended in 1945. In its first part the thesis describes the history of the mutual relations between China and Japan in the preceding decades. The main focus lies on the analysis of the so-called Marco Polo Bridge Incident, which is considered to be the beginning of the war, and on the description of the following Japanese offensive military operations. The thesis ends with the fall of Nanjing and the so-called Nanjing Massacre.
