Basal stimulation of a patient at intensive care unit

As a theme of my bachelor's work, I chose "Basal stimulation" applied on a patient on unit of intensive care. It's a concept targeteda client's basic needs and his sensual perception. Whole text is divided on several parts. Clinical part, which says something about history, concept, and important characters of basal stimulation, and the concept itself, about human's perception. Further more, it says something about different methods, which are separated on basic and advanced elements. Most of them are accompanied with pictures and photos. Second part of my work is about caretaking problems. It also describes three types of clients with completely different health status. These are clients with Coma Vigille, unstable clients with Guillan-Barré, and an aggressive client. I pay attention to describe casuistry of each of these klient groups, describing several methods which I applied during a certain portion of time. In the end, I summarize the effects of Basal stimulation on a specific client. I paid a special attention to a third part, which contains an additional information. It contains basics of communication with blind, demented, or deaf clients, photos of "unit of intensive care", from a point of view of a client who is permanently laid up to the acute care bed, or a biographic answer sheet, which I...

Experience of Patients in Deep Sedation

The main topic of my finaly project is about Experience of patiens in deep sedation. What can patients exactly feel and how they represent this feeling is important not only for medical stuff, but also for their close persons. The entire project is divided in to practical and theoretical parts. The theoretical part deals with definic of terms consciousness and unconsciousness, perception and experience, pharmacotherapy of sedation, news at deep sedation. Also includes the latest issues from research in the field of deep sedation. And finaly nursing care about these patients which is so important. In the practical part, I have dealed with issues of how did patients perceive themselves, how did they perceive their surroundings, how did they perceive their loved ones and health professional. I have choosed qualitative research metodology. I had conducted interviews with 10 respondents, who answered my questions of perception and experience The outcome of this project is a booklet of practical approaches to patients with eclipse in a state of deep sedation.
