Tactic of the Roman army from Caesar to Augustus

In my bachelor thesis I would like to focus on evaluation issues of roman army in the age of Caesar, structure, placement units and manner of war, which was typical in this time. I want to valorize individual parts equipment and weaponery roman legionnaries in this time, then focus on some special battles, which Caesar led and interpet tactical formation and concept, which were used. In question of fortification I would like to show on good explored example of fortification siege of Alesia. And I want to show on changes after Caesar's death in the reign of Octavianus Augustus.
