On the traces of barbarians – archaeological, historical, numismatic (Archaeology of Barbarians 2015)
Karwowski, M. ; Komoróczy, Balázs ; Trebsche, P.
The publication is the latest in the series of proceedings based on materials from Central European protohistoric conferences Archaeology of Barbarians. For the most part, the studies published here are a revised text of the lectures given at the 2015 conference Archaeology of Barbarian at the MAMUZ Museum Mistelbach in Lower Austria. The main theme of the conference was the Celts and Germanic tribes in the Middle Danube Region in archaeological and numismatic sources (2nd century BC - 2nd century AD), but space was also given to other phenomena of protohistoric development. Intensive discussions included, among other things, absolute and relative chronology of transitional horizons, issues of monetization and testimony of numismatic groups, military, economic and diplomatic interactions along the north-south axis of the region and other sub-themes. For most of these questions, readers will find relevant studies in the present proceedings, which contains a total of 18 studies by authors from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Germany.

The Proceedings comprise text of 50 oral contributions dealing with two-phase and multiphase flows, Newtonian and non-Newtonian flows, designing, optimization and operation of hydrotransport and pneumotransport systems, wear and corrosions, pumps and valves, sediment transport in rivers and water reservoirs, hydraulic storage of tailings, sedimentation and thickening, methods and techniques of measurement, instrumentation for laboratory, field and industrial systems.
Mathematical modelling and computational methods in applied sciences and engineering - Modelling 2019
Blaheta, Radim ; Starý, Jiří ; Sysala, Stanislav
Modelling 2019 is an international conference on Mathematical Modelling and Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering held in\nOlomouc, Czech Republic, in September 16 - 20, 2019. It aims to be a forum for an exchange of ideas, insights and experiences in different areas\nof mathematical modelling. It includes the fundamental formulation and analysis of mathematical models, the development of numerical methods and exploitation of capabilities of the contemporary high-performance computers or applications of mathematical modelling.\nThis conference belongs to a series of conferences previously held in Roznov in 2014 and 2009, in Pilsen in 2005 and 2001, and in Prague in 1998 and 1994. During the period of 25 years, the focus of the conference has been substantially enlarged. Besides the topics aiming at the development\nof numerical methods and analysis of mathematical models described by the partial differential equations, the conference relates to the inverse\nproblems, quantification of uncertainties in the input data, machine learning and exploitation of high-performance computing systems of petaflops and pre-exaflops performance. Increased attention is devoted to challenging industrial problems and collaboration with industry.
Engineering Mechanics 2019
Zolotarev, Igor ; Radolf, Vojtěch
The proceedings contains papers presented at the 25th International Conference on Engineering Mechanics, which has been held in Svratka resort in Czech Republic under auspices of the Czech Society of Mechanics and being a part of IFTOMM (The International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science) activities. As it corresponds with character of the conference, this proceedings consists of several topic oriented parts: Biomechanics, Fluid mechanics, Dynamics, Fracture mechanics, Kinematics, Mechatronics, Reliability of structures, Mechanics of solids, Technological processes, Thermodynamics. The volume represents a well-balanced overview of theoretical, numerical and experimental work on fundamental and applied studies.
Dynamics of machines and mechanical systems with interactions : proceedings DYMAMESI 2019
Kozieň, M. ; Zolotarev, Igor ; Pešek, Luděk
The aim of the Colloquium is to facilitate the exchange of up to date information and knowledge among specialists in structural and multibody dynamics, in coupled interacting systems as aero-elasticity, hydro-elasticity, bio-mechanics, systems with feedbacks and mechatronics. The papers are divided into the three sections and focused on the Dynamics of Machines, Interactions and Power Engineering.

MAT TRIAD 2019: Book of Abstracts
Bok, J. ; Hartman, David ; Hladík, M. ; Rozložník, Miroslav
This volume contains the Book of abstracts of the 8th International Conference on Matrix Analysis and its Applications, MAT TRIAD 2019. The MATTRIAD conferences represent a platform for researchers in a variety of aspects of matrix analysis and its interdisciplinary applications to meet and share interests and ideas. The conference topics include matrix and operator theory and computation, spectral problems, applications of linear algebra in statistics, statistical models, matrices and graphs as well as combinatorial matrix theory and others. The goal of this event is to encourage further growth of matrix analysis research including its possible extension to other fields and domains.
Proceedings of the 22nd Czech-Japan Seminar on Data Analysis and Decision Making
Inuiguchi, M. ; Jiroušek, Radim ; Kratochvíl, Václav
The history of the series of the Czech-Japan seminars started in 1999. Thus, it is now more than 20 years ago when the first Czech-Japan Seminar on Data Analysis and Decision Making under Uncertainty was held in JAIST, Hokuriku. Since that time, these seminars were held in eleven splendid places in Japan, offering the Czech participants possibility to discover different parts of the Japanese islands. In reciprocity, it was the goal of the Czech partners organizing the past ten seminars to show the beauty of Czechia to Japanese colleagues, who, during the long Japan–Czech cooperation, became our close friends. This is also why the seminar has never visited one place two times.
