User experience dizajn digitálneho produktu a jeho vplyv na správanie zákazníka v cestovnom ruchu
Sakala, Samuel
The bachelor thesis investigates the impact of the implementation of user experience (UX) design principles in a digital tourism product on the visitor's decision-making process when choosing which attractions to visit. In relation to this, the thesis seeks to find out how these findings can be used to improve the distribution of visitors in the Lednice – Valtice area. The thesis includes an analysis of existing digital tourism products in the Lednice – Valtice area, including user testing of one of the products and an analysis of the destination management situation in the Lednice – Valtice area. Using knowledge from the analysis and theory, the thesis proposes a new digital solution for the destination based on one of the existing products. To verify the results, an interactive prototype of a mobile application is created using Figma. The prototype is then user-tested to determine the impact of implementing selected user experience principles on customer decision making. Testing is conducted with a selected group of users, based on predefined scenarios. Based on the results, recommendations for destination management in the Lednice – Valtice area are formulated. The work contributes to the understanding of the role of UX design principles in the tourism industry and provides practical recommendations for the optimization of visitor distribution in this particular destination.
Implementation of sustainable development goals in developing countries: a case study of Zambia
Kachelo, Mukuka
This research was aimed at examining the implementation of SDGs in developing countries and it focused specifically on Zambia. To achieve this aim, existing data on SDGs obtained from official platforms was used to make observations about how the country is performing so far and the results showed that only 7 out of the 17 SDGs, based on selected indicators, have improved during the period under review. This put into question the adequacy of the policies and mechanisms put in place by the Zambian Government to implement the SDGs. Having established that Zambia has performed poorly when it comes to SDG implementation so far and reviewed some of the challenges based on existing literature and national review documents, this paper went a step further and sought the opinions of 105 Local Government officers who are actively involved in SDG implementation at the district level through a questionnaire. The officers identified budget constraints, lack of coordination among local stakeholders, and lack of coordination between the National, Provincial and District levels of government as the top 3 challenges to SDG implementation at the Local Level.

Odhad přesunu zisků po zavedení pravidel GloBE
Chrástová, Leona
The diploma thesis deals with the estimation of profit shifting after the in-troduction of GloBE rules. These rules, issued by the OECD, should ensure fairer taxation of the income of multinational companies and reduce base erosion and profit shifting. The aim of this work was to determinate changes in taxation of multinational corporations after the introduction of new rules for international taxation. To achieve the goal, the procedures described in Pillar 2 were applied to data from the Orbis database in the empirical part of this work. The empirical part also considered two assumptions for the collection of top-up tax, i.e. collection at the level of the jurisdiction of headquarter parent company and collection at the level of the jurisdiction of member entities. The results show that the OECD and EU jurisdictions could receive up to EUR 270 billion from this initiative. Large econo-mies such as the United States of America and Great Britain would receive the highest returns from this initiative. However, the largest percentage changes in tax revenues would be achieved by states known as tax havens, i.e. Luxembourg, Ireland and Latvia.
GDP growth and welfare in developing countries: the case study of Nigeria from 2022-2022
Elias Oluwasegun, Emmanuel
This dissertation sought to assess the impact of economic growth, particularly measured by GDP growth, on various welfare indicators within the framework of Nigeria's economy over the past two decades (2002-2022). A critical literature review laid the groundwork, surveying existing research to establish a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical underpinnings and empirical evidence related to economic growth and welfare. The chosen methodology involved the analysis of trends in GDP growth and welfare indicators using secondary data collected from reputable sources. Multivariate regression analysis, executed with the STATA software, enabled a simultaneous examination of the effects of GDP growth on key indicators such as inequality, poverty, unemployment, and life expectancy. The study aimed to provide valuable insights into Nigeria's economic dynamics and their repercussions on societal well-being. By scrutinizing the nuanced relationships between GDP growth and various welfare metrics, the research contributes not only to academic scholarship but also informs policy formulation. The outcomes of this analysis are expected to guide policymakers and stakeholders in shaping strategies that promote sustainable economic growth, thereby positively impacting inequality, poverty rates, unemployment, and overall life expectancy. In essence, this thesis represents a systematic effort to unravel the complexities of the economic-social nexus in Nigeria, offering a holistic perspective on the ramifications of economic growth on the broader welfare landscape.
