Data mining from incoming e-mail messages
Šebesta, Jan ; Žemlička, Michal (advisor) ; Kopecký, Michal (referee)
We study possibilities of automatic sorting of incoming e-mails. Our primary goal is to distinguish information about oncoming workshops and conferences, job offers and published books. We are developing mining tool for extracting the information from data originated in profession-specific mailing lists. Offers in the mailing lists come in html, rtf or plain text format. The messages are written in common spoken language. We have developed the system so it will use text mining methods to extract the information and save it structured form. Then we will be able to work with it. We are examining how user handles the mail and apply the knowledge in the development. We solve the problems with obtaining of the messages, distinguishing language and encoding and estimating the type of message. After recognition of the transported information we are able to mine data. In the end we save the mined information to the database, which allows us to display it in well-arranged way, sort and search according to the user needs.
Burnout syndrome - diagnostic possibilities (comparative study)
Vlachovská, Barbora ; Kebza, Vladimír (advisor) ; Niederlová, Markéta (referee)
The theoretical part deals with key issues of burnout - a definition, phase of syndrome, diagnostic classification, prevention, and mainly deals with the description of the methods by which the level of burnout is detected. Now probably the most common diagnostic tools are the MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory) and its derivatives (eg. MBI-General Survey), but there are many other methods, such as developed by Israeli and European psychologists (BoTeLis, OLBI, CBI, MBS, etc.). The goal is to assemble a relatively complete overview of these diagnostic tools. In the empirical part, is to verify the psychometric properties of Czech version of the selected methods on a set of population, describe and analyze their characteristics.
Kant's Categorical Imperativ and its Critique by Nineteenth Century Philosophers
Vašků, Kateřina ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
Diploma thesis "Kant's Categorical Imperative and Its Critique by Nineteenth Century Philosophers" deals with a question of Kant's fundamental principle known as the Categorical Imperative or Moral Law. The aim of this work is at first to discuss two other moral principles because of their great impact on Kant seeking the moral principle. These are Hume's moral code called Moral sense and Rousseau' moral views relating to the freedom of individuals. Secondly, to find out how both moral theories did inspire Immanuel Kant. It is necessary to explain strengths of Kant's Formula of the Categorical Imperative especially to emphasise its objectivity and universality. Then the purpose is to show Kant's influence on moral thinking in the nineteenth century. It is necessary to mention philosophers such as Johan Gottlieb Fichte and Bernard Bolzano who focused on critique of the Categorical Imperative.

Regulace vnitřního pH kvasinek - vliv vybraných transportních proteinů
Zalom, Peter ; Chaloupka, Roman (advisor) ; Holoubek, Aleš (referee)
Intracellular pH affects nearly all biochemical processes in yeast, the processes regulating the cytosolic pH includes function of many transport proteins. In this work, the impact of selected sodium transporters on cytosolic pH has been studied in two yeast species: Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Zygosaccharomyces rouxii including wild-type and mutants with affected sodium transport. Measurements of cytosolic pH and buffering capacity have been performed using fluorescent protein probe pHluorin - a pH sensitive derivate of green fluorescence protein. Several procedures for calibration of pHluorin fluorescence response have been compared and the importance of a proper correction of the calibration curve has been demonstrated. It has been shown that cytosolic pH is influenced by the function of Nha1 transport protein in S. cerevisiae as well as in Z. rouxii but not by Sod2-22 transporter in Z. rouxii. It has been demonstrated that the buffering capacity of cytosol decrease in the presence of glucose in all strains studied.
