Methodology of highly reliable systems design
Straka, Martin ; Gramatová, Elena (referee) ; Racek, Stanislav (referee) ; Kotásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
In the thesis, a methodology alternative to existing methods of digital systems design with increased dependability implemented into FPGA is presented, new features which can be used in the implementation and testing of these systems are demonstrated. The research is based on the use of FPGA partial dynamic reconfiguration for the design of fault tolerant systems. In these applications, the partial dynamic reconfiguration can be used as a mechanism to correct the fault and recover the system after the fault occurrence. First, the general principles of diagnostics, testing and digital systems dependability are presented including a brief description of FPGA components and their architectures. Next, a survey of currently used methods and techniques used for the design and implementation of fault tolerant systems into FPGA is described, especially the methods used for fault detection and localization, their correction, together with the principles of evaluating fault tolerant systems design quality.  The most important part of the thesis is seen in the description of the design methodology, implementation and testing of fault tolerant systems implemented into FPGAs which uses SRAMs as the configuration memory. First, the methodology of developing and automated checker components design for digital systems and communication protocols is presented. Then, a reference architecture of a dependable system implemented into FPGA is demonstrated including several fault tolerant architectures based on the use of partial dynamic reconfiguration as the mechanism of fault correction and the recovery from it. The principles of controlling the reconfiguration process are described together with the description of the test platform which allows to test and verify the design of fault tolerant systems based on the methodology presented in the thesis. The experimental results and the contribution of the thesis are discussed in the conclusions.

Security and stability networking testing in cloud computing
Efimov, Igor ; Havránek, Martin (advisor) ; Ladislav, Ladislav (referee)
The purpose of this dissertation work involves creation and automation of my own cloud security and stability testing techniques. The basis of this project is to explore and outline the virtual environment protection level in front of different types of security and stability networking attacks. Theoretical part of this paper consists of concepts and, together with their definitions and reference to relevant research literature, science related publications and online sources that best describes testing methodology of cloud computing, focused on security and virtualization. The practical part of the thesis demonstrate an understanding of theories and concepts that been studied. Based on the obtained research results, have been developed various automation tests that are going to be run on virtual environment in order to test their stability.
Testing during development of the banking system
Macháčková, Blanka ; Pavlíček, Josef (advisor) ; Petr, Petr (referee)
The thesis deals with software testing in company, whose activities are financial services . Emphasis is placed on the current development model , which was recently changed from waterfall type to the agile type . This transition is described using the comparison . The work is focused on the ideal composition of the scrum team. Such a team could more easily develop new functionality. Finally, described the tools that are necessary for development and testing . The aim is to analyze and propose improvements in process development testing of new functionality to the financial system. As a result of this activity is a proposal to improve the process , not only testing, but also a process that is itself before starting the tests. Output work is the connection of these analyzes and design process testing, which would save the company costs .
Design of software testing strategy
Hrnčíř, Lukáš ; Brožek, Jiří (advisor) ; Ladislav, Ladislav (referee)
The thesis is focused on issues of the design testing strategy in the form of the test plan. There are described selected models of the life cycle software development and methodologies of the software development and testing in the theoretical part. The main focus is dedicated to the significance testing and its position in the various models and methodologies. There is solved a creation of testing strategy of selected software in the practical part, including the subsequent design and implementation of the test cases. There is an assessment of the achieved results at the conclusion and there is discussed the possibility of using different type or approach of the testing.
Influences of atmospheric conditions and kind of paints for their durability in the exterior exposition.
Malinský, Josef ; Pánek, Miloš (advisor) ; Bomba, Jan (referee)
Abstract Name: Bc. Josef Malinský, DiS. Diploma thesis topic: Impact of atmospheric factors and the type of coating on their durability when used outdoors. Abstract: This thesis deals with an assessment of qualities and lacks of coatings of a particular coating system. Its result is a recommendation of the best of the evaluated coatings. The introduction shows an analysis of the historical development of coatings and an overview of coatings in general, as well as a list of the most commonly used coating systems for the protection of wood used outdoors. The thesis describes the ways of applying coatings and the methods of correct applying coatings focussed on wood protection and durability. The aim of the second part is to choose the best coating according to the results and parameters of the testing. This part includes a description of the preparation of tested objects, applying coatings and the way of measuring the parameters before and after the exposure of such objects to an accelerated ageing process in accordance with the Czech norm ČSN EN 927 part 6. Comparing the qualities of particular coatings results in a recommendation of the best of the coatings assessed. The third part of the thesis describes a variability of atmospheric conditions and their impact on the results of the testing of coating systems. It results in an evaluation and assessment of particular differences in testing the particular coatings in accordance with the Czech norms ČSN EN 927 part 3 and ČSN EN 927 part 6. The aim of this part of the thesis is to answer the question whether and to what extent degradation of the tested coating is affected by the difference of climate conditions when being tested for accelerated ageing and natural ageing. Key words: surface treatment, wood coatings, testing, outdoor exposure
Influence of kind of wood for quality of selected paints for exterior
Blažek, Tomáš ; Pánek, Miloš (advisor) ; Zeidler, Aleš (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to provide lay persons as well as specialists in the field with information about a suitable surface treatment method for various types of wood and about the impact of the choice of wood on the coating durability when used outdoors, so that they make a sound judgement upon these findings. The diploma theses is divided into several parts containing an introduction into the problem of degradation of wood used outdoors, a description of various coatings based on natural substances, various wood modifications, principles of applying the coatings, norms providing for applying the coatings. On the basis of the tests using accelerated aging it has been found that the best results had oak with chemical modification Lignofix I-profi and final surface finish with the application of outdoor oil. The aim of the thesis is to compare selected coatings based on natural substances on selected types of modified wood. Outputs of particular tests are clearly arranged to provide a clear overview of particular measurement data. The diploma thesis also includes a clear analysis of particular coating materials with respect to their acquisition costs compared to their degradation and their utility.
Testing methods and EN standards for coatings systems - review and results of testing
Štěrbová, Irena ; Pánek, Miloš (advisor) ; Procházka, Jiří (referee)
The subject-matter of this bachelor thesis was to do the research concerning the evaluation of methods in testing the coating systems. Another aim was to evaluate, upon the analysis of the selected scientific articles from the Web of Science portal, the most effective coating system from the perspective of four characteristics (hardness, adhesion, gloss and colour change). Upon the results of selected researches, the polyuretane coating was found to be the best in all of the examined characteristics. Then, the alkyd-based synthetic varnish gave the best results especially in adhesion. The knowledge from the research proves that the cellulosic coating has the worst results in overall durability, especially as far as the gloss, colour changes and hardness are concerned. From the adhesion viewpoint, the water-borne alkyd coating was the worst.
