Bakalářská práce pojednává o postavení Brazílie v současné ekonomice, jejím minulém vývoji a budoucí perspektivě. První kapitola se zabývá nedávnou brazilskou historií, konkrétně druhou polovinou dvacátého století a zaměřuje se na historické základy dalšího vývoje. Druhá kapitola přidává další determinující fragment zkoumající současné vztahy s mezinárodními a regionálními organizacemi a postavení v mezinárodním obchodě. Třetí kapitola na základě obecné definice pojmu BRIC popisuje zemi v horizontu padesáti let, kdy postupně roste význam nově se rozvíjejících ekonomik a jejich postavení ve světě. Důraz je kladen především na potenciál a rizika. The thesis deals with the position of Brazil in the world economy, the past development and the future perspective. The first chapter discusses the recent history of Brazil, especially the second part of the 20th century and concentrates on the past fundaments of future development. The second chapter adds another fragment that mentions relations with international organizations and position in international commerce. The third chapter describes the country and its status in the world based on the BRIC's general definition. There is an emphasis placed on the potential and risks.
