Tato diplomová práce se zabývá nakladatelstvím Meander a mediálním ohlasem vybraných titulů z edice Modrý slon. Teoretická část představuje vývoj vydavatelské praxe po roce 1989 na jehož pozadí vzniklo v druhé polovině 90. let nakladatelství Meander, vývoj literatury pro děti a mládež na přelomu tisíciletí, fenomén autorské ilustrované knihy a proměnu čtenáře a čtenářského prostředí. Praktická část představuje nakladatelství Meander a uměleckou edici Modrý slon. Pro tuto edici je klíčový umělec Petr Nikl, který je zároveň kmenovým autorem nakladatelství. Výzkum mediálních ohlasů byl proveden na knihách Záhádky Petra Nikla, Jělěňovití Petra Nikla a Velká cesta Malého pána Lenky Uhlířové a Jiřího Stacha. Zkoumanými médii byly kulturní a literární časopisy, denní tisk, a internetová a elektronická média. This Master Thesis is about Meander publishing house and media reflection of three choosen titles from edition Blue Elephant. Theoretical part of this thesis introduces the development of publishing houses after the fall of communism in 1989, the development of the literature for children and youth, phenomenon of bilderbuch and the change of reading habits and reader's environment. The analytical part introduces the Meander publishing house and its edition Blue Elephant. Key artist for this edition is Petr Nikl, who is Meander's court artist as well. The analysis of media was performed on titles Záhádky by Petr Nikl, Jělěňovití by Petr Nikl and The Little's Man Great Journey by Lenka Uhlířová and Jiří Stach. The analysed media are literary and cultural magazines, newspapers and digital media.
