Práce se věnuje zkoumání ideálu rytířství a rytířských ctností zpodobených ve staročeských literárních dílech O Jetřichovi Berúnském, Tandariáš a Floribella a Vévoda Arnošt. Pomocí analýzy tří veršovaných epických skladeb podává tato práce základní přehled rytířských ctností, které měly vliv na utváření literárního obrazu ideálního rytíře ve vrcholném a pozdním středověku. Zabývá se jednak pojetím osobních rytířových kvalit a jeho charakterem, jednak distinktivními rysy a aktivitami, kterými rytíř dával najevo příslušnost ke svému stavu i k ostatním příslušníkům stejné třídy. Práce poskytuje především bližší zpracování tématu věrnosti, štědrosti a pomoci druhému, neboť tyto prvky rytířského ideálu jsou v dílech velmi frekventované. Dále se zabývá také otázkou cti, milosrdenství, statečnosti a bezelstnosti jako dalších ctností rytíře, prezentovaných ve zkoumaných dílech. Zvláštní kapitola je pak věnována turnajům, které tehdy byly nepostradatelnou součástí rytířského života. In my bachelor thesis I focus on study the ideal of knighthood and its virtues and how they are displayed and presented in literary works O Jetřichovi Berúnském, Tandariáš a Floribella and Vévoda Arnošt. The analysis of these three rhymed epic compositions gives us a basic overview of virtues of knighthood, that in high and late medieval period had significant impact on the literary image of the ideal knight. The work deals with several topics, at first it is the idea of personal character virtues of the knight, second topic is the distinctive features in knight's appearance and his activities that he uses to show his rank and social class he belongs to. Above all, the work provides its reader closer look at the terms such as loyalty, generosity, and helping the others, which are the most frequent knighthood features appeared in the compositions. Other terms discussed are honour, mercy, bravery, and honesty as another virtues the knight presented in the compositions. Separate chapter is devoted to the tournaments, that were inseparable part of the knight's life.
