Sokol je tělocvičná organizace, která za svých téměř 160 let existence prodělala řadu změn a byla několikrát státní mocí zakázána. Vždy však dbala a podporovala odkaz Miroslava Tyrše. Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnotit nabídku cvičení pro věkovou kategorii žáků a žákyň v Sokole. S použitím retrospektivní metody je stručně popsána historie Sokola za posledních téměř 160 let existence. Na základě porovnání průběžného počtu oddílů a vývoje členské základny je hodnocen vývoj od obnovy Sokola v roce 1990 do dnešních let se zaměřením na zvolenou věkovou kategorii. Jako analytická metoda je zvoleno dotazníkové šetření, které bylo rozesláno elektronickou cestou jednotlivým jednotám. Na základě výsledků dotazníkového šetření byly vyvráceny nebo potvrzeny dříve stanovené hypotézy, které vycházely z akademických prací nebo z jiné dostupné literatury. Je potvrzeno, že členská základna žákovských kategorií od 90. let přes lehké výkyvy stále roste. Nejcitelnější růst byl v období okolo všesokolských sletů, kterých se tyto věkové kategorie pravidelně účastní. Zvláště viditelné to pak bylo v letech okolo XVI. všesokolského sletu konaného v roce 2018 v Praze. Členská základna sokolských jednot se mezi cvičenci do osmnácti let opírá hlavně o kategorii mladších žáků a žákyň. Pro ně se stále rozšiřuje nabídka jak... Sokol is a body movement organisation that has undergone many changes during its almost 160 years of existence and has been banned several times by the state power. However, she always cared for and supported Miroslav Tyrš`s legacy. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the offer of exercices for the age category of youngs in Sokol. Using a retrospective method, the history of Sokol over the last almost 160 years of its existence is briefly described. Based on a comparison of the ongoing number of divisions and the development of the membership base, the development from the renewal of Sokol in 1990 to the present years is evaluated, focusing on the selected age category. A questionnaire survey is chosen as the analytical method, which was sent electronically to the individual units. Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, previously established hypotheses were disproved or confirmed, which were based on academic work or other available literature. It is confirmed that the membership base of student categories has been growing since the 1990s, despite slight fluctuations. The most significant growth was in the period around the "Sokol slet", in which these age categories regularly participate.
