Cílem bakalářské práce je identifikovat a následně popsat proměny v použití motivu upíra v dílech vybraných českých autorů, kteří spadají do přelomu 19. a 20. století. V úvodních kapitolách jsou uvedeny obecné informace o fenoménu vampyrismu, které odpovídají na otázky, jako odkud pochází nebo jakým způsobem se jeho představa ukotvila v lidském vědomí. Následně je nastíněno kulturní a literární pozadí dané doby s důrazem na dekadentní směr. Tato práce svou pozornost zaměřuje jak na klasické představitele tohoto období, tak na méně známé autory, jejichž literární aktivita spojená s aplikací upírského motivu je situována kolem roku 1920. V další kapitole je provedena analýza děl, v nichž se opakuje námět upíra umístěného do prostředí plesu. V poslední kapitole je uvedeno shrnutí, v němž jsou komparovány zjištěné motivy. Klíčová slova: česká literatura, upír, krev, dekadence, touha, temné prostředí The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is the identification and description of changes in the use of the vampire motif in the works of selected Czech authors from the turn of 19th and 20th century. In the introductory chapters there are general information about the vampyrism phenomenon, which answer the questions such as where does it comes from or how the idea is fixed in human consciousness. Then there is description of the cultural and literary context with a focus on the decadence. The attention is focused both the classical representatives of this period and less- known authors whose literary activity is associated with application of the vampire motif situated around year 1920. The next chapter analyzes the works in which the theme of a vampire was repeatedly placed in a ball setting. In the last chapter there is a summary of found motives and their comparation.
