Předmětem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit komentovaný překlad vybraných kapitol z publikace "Jazz in Deutschland: Die deutsche Jazzchronik bis 1960", vydané v roce 1996 v Hildesheimu. Autorem knihy je německý muzikolog Horst H. Lange. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí - první se skládá ze samotného překladu německého originálu do češtiny. Druhá část je věnována odbornému komentáři, který zahrnuje analýzu podle Christiane Nordové, popis překladatelské metody, překladatelských problémů a posunů v překladu. This book was written by the German musicologist Horst H. Lange. This Thesis consists of two parts. The first one comprises the translation of the German text into Czech. The second part is composed of translation analysis based on the model of Christiane Nord, description of the translation method, translation problems and shifts in the translation.
