Televizní prezidentské debaty jsou zajímavým mediálním a politickým fenoménem, kterým dnes již standardně vrcholí předvolební prezidentská kampaň. Poprvé byl tento televizní duel mezi dvěma hlavními kandidáty vysílán v USA v roce 1960. V České republice se zavedla praxe televizních prezidentských debat až s prosazením přímé volby prezidenta, tedy v roce 2013. V této diplomové práci jsem analyzovala pojetí a zpracování televizních prezidentských debat z ledna roku 2018 před druhým kolem volby, do něhož postoupili Miloš Zeman a Jiří Drahoš. Společně se před televizními kamerami utkali ve dvou případech - na TV Prima v pořadu Hledá se prezident 2018 a na České televizi v pořadu Prezidentský duel - Finále. Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jak se lišila dramaturgie a celkové zpracování debaty na soukromé televizi, oproti pojetí, pokud duel produkovala veřejnoprávní instituce. Prostřednictvím kvalitativní obsahové analýzy a následné komparace jsem se zajímala nejen o výběr a řazení témat, ale také o způsob moderace, o vizuální a zvukové prostředky použité během debaty, o roli publika. Na základě poznatků z teoretické části jsem zhodnotila rozdílnost televizních debat v českém prostředí od toho amerického a pomocí dat z průzkumu veřejného mínění agentury Median se pokusila interpretovat to, jaký... TV presidential debates are an interesting media and political phenomenon that is considered also as the peak of the presidential election campaign. For the first time, this television duel between the two main presidential candidates was broadcast in the US in 1960. In the Czech Republic, the practice of television presidential debates with the legalization of direct presidential elections, ie in 2013, was introduced. The two main candidates in the second round of the election were Miloš Zeman and Jiří Drahoš. Together they met in front of television cameras in only two cases - on TV Prima in the program Hledá se president 2018 and on Czech Television in the program Prezidentský duel - Finále. The aim of this thesis is to find out how the dramaturgy and the overall processing of the debate differ on private television and how, if it is produced by a public institution. Through qualitative content analysis and subsequent comparison, I was interested not only in the selection and sorting of topics, but also in the way of moderation, the visual and audio effects used during the debate or the role of the audience.
