Bakalářská práce pojednává o úsměvu a smíchu z evolučního hlediska. V první kapitole je stručně popsána van Hooffova koncepce, která poukazuje na to, že úsměv a smích měly rozdílný fylogenetický původ a následně došlo ke konvergenci obou těchto faciálních signálů. Opoziční pojetí naopak předpokládá rozdíl v obou signálech jen v rámci intenzity. Druhá kapitola je věnována rozdělení úsměvu (příp. smíchu) na různé druhy. Základní rozdělení zahrnuje spontánní a nespontánní typ. V práci jsou popsány charakteristiky těchto dvou druhů úsměvu (smíchu) vč. jejich percepce a funkčních odlišností. Následně je v práci zahrnuto podrobnější rozdělení na 18 druhů dle koncepce Ekmana. Třetí kapitola práce se věnuje fetálnímu úsměvu vykazovanému v prenatálním období a spontánnímu spánkovému úsměvu spojeného s novorozeneckým a kojeneckým věkem. Zmíněné je též téma úsměvu ve spojitosti s interakcí dospělý - dítě. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývá sociální dimenzí problematiky. Zde jsou popsány rozdílné sociální funkce úsměvu a smíchu a důležitost sociálního kontextu pro oba tyto signály. Zmíněna je též souvislost smíchu s hrou. Návrh výzkumného projektu je věnován spontánnímu spánkovému úsměvu. Náplní výzkumu je pozorování novorozenců a kojenců stáří 1-12 měsíců a následný popis symetrie úsměvu, pohlavních rozdílů, a... The bachelor thesis focuses on smile and laughter from the evolutionary point of view. The first chapter briefly describes van Hooff's concept that smile and laughter had different phylogenetic origins and consequently both these facial signals converged. On the contrary, the opposition concept assumes only a difference in intensity between both signals. The second chapter is devoted to the classification of smile (eventually laughter) into different types. The basic classification includes spontaneous and non- spontaneous types. The characteristics of these two kinds of smile (laughter) are described, including perception and functional differences. Further, the thesis includes a more detailed division into 18 species according to Ekman's concept. The third chapter focuses on a fetal smile shown during the prenatal period and a spontaneous (neonatal) smile associated with neonatal and infant age. Connection between smile and an adult-child interaction is also mentioned. The fourth chapter deals with the social dimension of the theme. The different social functions of smile and laughter and the importance of the social context for both of these signals are described here.
