Cílem předkládané diplomové práce je představení propagandistické činnosti nacistického Německa a komunistického Ruska, jež zcela zásadním způsobem zasáhla do všech oblastí lidského života včetně té roviny lidské kultury, pro niž by měla být signifikantní absolutní svoboda. Umělecká tvorba byla v totalitních režimech vystavována tak velkému ideologickému tlaku, že se díla umělců stala pouhým nástrojem prorežimní propagandy. Aby mohl být onen úspěch propagandy plně pochopen věnuje se práce především oficiální tvorbě obou režimů a jejímu zasazení do historického a myšlenkového kontextu. Práce sleduje vývoj dvou režimů a jejich uměleckých světů za účelem nalezení jejich základních charakteristik, na nichž by mohly být ukázány propagandou využívané společné principy, jež dokázaly pod vlivem odlišných ideologií zmanipulovat milióny lidí po celém světě. This dissertation aims to introduce propagandistic activity of Nazi Germany and Communist Russia, which fundamentally impacted all areas of people´s lives including human culture, which signifies absolute freedom under normal circumstances. Art production was faced with such immense ideological pressure that the artwork became mere tools of the propagandistic regime. In order to fully comprehend the success of the propaganda, the dissertation focuses mostly on the official art production of both regimes and its insertion into historical and psychological context. The dissertation follows the development of both regimes and their art worlds in order to find their basic characteristics, which in turn serve to show the common principles used by the propaganda that managed to manipulate millions of people all over the world under different ideologies.
