Časová smyčka je narativní nástroj, který příběhovou linii staví na základě opakování událostí. Postavy jsou v ní často uvězněny a odsouzeny zažívat události znovu a znovu, dokud nenaleznou východisko či řešení. Jedná se o široce užívanou narativní metodu, která odkazuje na Nietzscheho „věčný návrat“, řecký mýtus o Sisyfovi, Kolo Dharmy v buddhismu a čínskou legendu o Wu Gangovi. Časová smyčka je druh syžetu, ve kterém se události opakují vícekrát, aby si buď postavy nebo i diváci, uvědomili různé dopady a důsledky činů postav. To často vede až ke konečnému rozřešení, kdy se smyčka buď přeruší, či pokračuje do nekonečna. Tato práce předpokládá, že současné filmy, které používají časovou smyčku jako hlavní nástroj děje, použivaji řadu filmově jazykových prvků pro lepší orientaci diváků. Za účelem průzkumu této teze bylo na základě kritického a komerčního úspěchu vybráno a analyzováno 5 současných filmů, které používají tuto metodu, a stanovily se u nich klíčové prvky jejich narativu časové smyčky. Tyto filmy se použily ke stanovení společných vizuálních, zvukových a střihových principů, které slouží k vytváření narativu časové smyčky a zároveň k tomu, aby čtenáři lépe pochopili jak vytvořit časovou smyčku . A time loop narrative is a type of non-linear narrative structure where the story centers on the repetition of either a series of events, i.e., the robbery of a store, a single day, 90 minutes. Characters are often trapped within this machination, doomed to experience a recurrence of events until they find an exit or solution. It is a widely used narrative technique that reminisces of Nietzsche’s “eternal return," the Greek myth of Sisyphus, theWheel of Dharma of Buddhism and the Chinese legend of Wu Gang. This thesis is a study on contemporary time loop films. It discusses the specifics of this type of film and analyzes in-depth a selection of three representative works. Through this analysis, it aims to deconstruct the films into their narrative, and thematic components to find the similarities and differences between them. At the same time, it seeks to give particular attention the elements of film language used in these films.
