K žádné epizodě extrémně zvýšeného průtoku na Němčickém potoce v roce 2018 nedošlo. Naopak, po většinu vegetační sezóny přetrvávaly nulové průtoky, které vedly ke zhoršování podmínek prostředí v toku a degradaci kvality vody i společenstva bentických bezobratlých. No episodes of extreme high discharge rates on the Němčický brook appeared in 2018. Contrarily, zero discharge (drought) persisted for the most of growing season with fatal consequences.
