Obraz generála Radoly Gajdy v československé komunistické historiografii: Abstrakt: Radola Gajda, generál československých legií v Rusku a jeden z velitelů armády "vrchního vládce Ruska", sibiřského diktátora Alexandra Vasiljeviče Kolčaka, poté generál československé armády, který v ní na krátkou dobu dosáhl až na nejvyšší místo, po svém sesazení fašistický politik a vůdce hlavní československé fašistické strany Národní obce fašistické a účastník mnoha skandálů, je jednou z nejvíce rozporuplných postav českých a československých dějin. Na jedné straně brilantní vojevůdce, rozený vojenský velitel, na druhé straně člověk se sympatií k autoritativním režimům a fašistickým stranám, kterého prezident Tomáš G. Masaryk svého času považoval za jednu z největších hrozeb pro československou demokracii. Rozporuplnost osoby generála Gajdy vedla k často velmi výrazným rozdílům v historickém vnímání této významné postavy našich dějin v průběhu různých politických režimů, které se vystřídaly na území českých zemí. Jako jeden z nejdůležitějších velitelů československých legií v Rusku byl Gajda hlavním iniciátorem jejich vystoupení proti bolševikům a v zásadním odporu vůči komunismu setrval i po celý zbytek svého života.
