Bakalářská práce analyzuje míru důležitosti a citlivosti zahraničních vztahů mezi Spojenými státy americkými a Velkou Británií od poloviny 19. století po americkou občanskou válku. Výchozím bodem bude analýza dodržování, či porušování Monroeovy doktríny v geografických sférách vlivu obou mocností. Cílem práce je analyzovat diplomatické krize, reakce na ně a jejich politické důsledky a také klíčové okamžiky ve vztazích obou států. Výsledkem by mělo být nalezení odpovědi na otázku, kam se vztah mezi oběma zeměmi po tato desetiletí posouval a jeho "zkouška" v době americké občanské války. Zohledněny budou nejen mezinárodně politické, ale i hospodářské a sociální vazby, které obě země spojovaly. This bachelor thesis analyses how important and sensitive foreign relations have been between the United States of America and Great Britain since the mid-19th century until the American Civil War. The respect or disregard of Monroe Doctrine in geographical spheres of influence by both powers will be the starting point in the bachelor thesis. The analysis of diplomatic crises, reactions to them, their political consequences and the analysis of main events of both states will be the aim of this work. To find an answer to question, for where the relationship was shifting toward for decades and his "testing" during the American Civil War, should be the result of work. Not only the political but also the economic and social ties, which undoubtedly connected these two Anglo-Saxon countries will also be examined.
