Cílem práce je reimplementovat starou DOSovou hru Magic Carpet s vyu¾i- tím moderních prostøedkù pro tvorbu her poskytovaných vývojovým prostøedím Unity. Ve høe hráè pøedstavuje kouzelníka na létajícím koberci, jeho¾ úkolem je shromá¾dit urèené mno¾ství many. Pøitom se pohybuje 3D herním svìtem, pou- ¾ívá kouzla, staví hrady, kde svou manu ukládá, a bojuje s rùznými druhy pøí¹er nebo nepøátelskými kouzelníky. Detailní rozbor pùvodní hry je k dispozici v úvodu práce. V rámci analýzy jsou diskutovány mo¾nosti tvorby koneèného, ale neohranièeného herního svìta a zpùsoby implementace umìlé inteligence a po- hybového systému pro pøí¹ery a nepøátelské kouzelníky. Herní svìt je generován procedurálnì, proto je zvlá¹tní kapitola vìnována i této problematice. Souèástí práce je také roz¹íøení pùvodního editoru Unity o okno Level Designeru, kde je mo¾né vytváøet nové herní úrovnì. The goal of this thesis is to reimplement the old DOS game Magic Carpet using modern game development means provided by the Unity engine. In the game, the player controls a wizard on a ying carpet, whose task is to collect speci ed amount of mana. He travels through a 3D game world, casts spells, builds castles, where his mana is stored, and ghts various types of monsters or enemy wizards. A detailed analysis of the original game can be found in the introductory part of the thesis. Within problem analysis, we discuss the possible approaches to creating a nite but borderless game world and ways of implemen- ting arti cial intelligence and its movemenent system for monsters and enemy wizards. The game world terrain is generated procedurally therefore a special chapter is devoted to this topic. The work also contains an extension of the ori- ginal Unity Editor called Level Designer, where new game levels can be created.
