Tato práce se zaměřuje na postavení maďarské a romské menšiny v Rumunsku po přistoupení k EU v roce 2007 a zabývá se rozdíly mezi nimi. Zkoumá, v čem se odlišuje přístup rumunského státu a také Evropské unie k daným minoritám, a charakterizuje jejich největší problémy ve čtyřech zkoumaných oblastech - vzdělávání, zaměstnanosti, životní úrovni a také politické reprezentaci. Romská otázka se dostala v Rumunsku do popředí zájmu v souvislosti se snahou připojit se k evropskému integračnímu procesu. EU pravidelně monitorovala situaci, v jaké se romské etnikum nacházelo, a roku 2011 se rozhodla vydat celounijní rámec, dle kterého měly všechny členské státy vypracovat vlastní strategie pro inkluzi Romů. Rumunská vláda strategii v témže roce zhotovila a v roce 2014 ji aktualizovala. V souladu s ní mají postupovat všechny rumunské instituce, aby společně bojovaly proti diskriminaci při hledání zaměstnání, segregaci ve školství, nevyhovujícímu stavu bydlení, slabé reprezentaci ve veřejném prostoru a dalším problémům, kterým romští občané čelili a stále čelí. Maďarská menšina má v Rumunsku podstatně silnější pozici než romská. Těší se v porovnání s jinými minoritami solidnímu politickému zastoupení, od roku 1990 strana UDMR pravidelně zasedá v rumunském parlamentu, kde se pokouší prosazovat návrhy na... This bachelor thesis focuses on the status differences between the Hungarian and Roma minorities after an accession to the EU in 2007. It examines how the approaches of Romanian government and the European Union differ toward the minorities and it characterises major challenges of the minorities in four different aspects - education, employment, housing conditions and political representation. Romani people started getting more attention from the Bucharest government when the country decided to join the European integration process. The EU was monitoring the situation of the Roma community regularly and decided to publish a framework strategy for Roma inclusion in 2011 which served as an example for member countries. Romanian government elaborated its own strategy within a year and updated it in 2014. This document provides a list of instructions to all Romanian institutions how to tackle the problems Romani community faces such as discrimination in hiring process, school segregation, bad housing conditions or poor representation in politics. The Hungarian minority has considerably better position in Romania than Roma people.
