Od druhé poloviny 90. let 20. století dochází v Česku k procesu rezidenční suburbanizace, v rámci kterého se obyvatelé stěhují z měst do obcí nacházejících se v jejich zázemí. Obecným cílem práce je zhodnotit sociální prostředí v okrese Kladno, které se proměňuje právě v důsledku procesu rezidenční suburbanizace. V rámci obecného cíle si práce stanovuje tři dílčí cíle: Charakterizovat proces rezidenční suburbanizace v okrese Kladno, zhodnotit proměny sociálně prostorové struktury okresu Kladno s hlavním zaměřením na suburbánní obce, a zhodnotit sociální prostředí ve vybrané suburbánní obci okresu Kladno. V práci jsou použity kvantitativní metody. K naplnění prvního a druhého dílčího cíle je použita analýza statistických dat z Českého statistického úřadu. K naplnění třetího dílčího cíle je použito dotazníkové šetření, pomocí kterého je zjišťováno, jaké mají respondenti vzájemné vztahy s původními a novými obyvateli, a jak se zapojují do společenského a politického života v Buštěhradu. Práce vychází z konceptů sociálního prostředí a community question. Klíčová slova: rezidenční suburbanizace, sociálně prostorová struktura, sociální struktura, sociální klima, sociální prostředí, okres Kladno, Buštěhrad Since the second half of the 1990s a residential suburbanization process has occurred in the Czechia. Within the process residents move from cities to municipalities that are located in their outskirts. The general aim of the thesis is to evaluate the social environment in Kladno district which is change just as a consequence of the residential suburbanization process. Within the general aim, the thesis sets out three partial objectives: To characterize the process of residential suburbanization in Kladno district, to evaluate changes in the socio- spatial structure of Kladno district with the main focus on the suburban municipalities, and to evaluate the social environment in the selected suburban municipality in Kladno district. There are quantitative methods used in the work. To accomplish the first and second partial objectives is used the analysis of statistical data from Czech Statistical Office. To accomplish the third partial objective is used a questionnaire survey, which investigate how respondents interact with native and new residents and how they engage in social and political life in Buštěhrad.
