AU - Stuchlá, Vladimíra AB - The basis of this thesis is a description and an analysis of estachology within the Christian ethics during the cultural eras of past millenniums, and their comparison with the development of a recent estachology, an outline of a possible development of death's perception in future. The thesis has a character of a summarizing study from the development of an early mythic life mode, over the development of the Ancient art of living 'Ars vivendi', over the origin and development of medieval 'Ars moriendi' its decay within the onset of modern times, and the effort of modern history to develop the art of immortality until its renaissance in later modern times. The aim of this thesis is to collect, interpret, analyse and review the positive effect of Christian ethics on a post-modern human being, the effect motivating to choose quality life values, the effect helping the human being to accept calmly the mortality of him or herself and his or her relatives. Accessible materials are looked upon from the point of view of sociology, Christian ethics, and period art's creation, so the thesis presents the period's atmosphere and motives of past and recent approach of a human being to own impermanence. The supplementary part supports the thesis with the samples of approaches to dying in periodical art pieces,... AB - Základem práce je popis a analýza eschatologie rozvíjející se v rámci křesťanské etiky v průběhu kulturních ér uplynulých tisíciletí, a jejich komparace s vývojem současné eschatologie i nástin možného vývoje vnímání smrti v budoucnu. Práce má charakter přehledové studie, od vývoje raného mytického životního modu, přes vývoj antického umění žít Ars vivendi, přes vznik a rozvoj středověkého Ars moriendi, jeho úpadek v rámci nástupu novověku a snahy moderních dějin rozvinout umění nesmrtelnosti, až po jeho renesanci v pozdní moderně. Cílem práce je shromáždit, interpretovat, analyzovat a posoudit pozitivní vliv křesťanské etiky na post-postmoderního člověka. Vliv, motivující k výběru kvalitních životních hodnot, k žití smysluplného života, vliv napomáhající mu vyrovnaně přijímat smrtelnost vlastní i blízkých. Dostupné materiály jsou nahlíženy z pohledu sociologie, křesťanské etiky a dobové umělecké tvorby, a práce tak předkládá dobovou atmosféru a pohnutky minulého i současného přístupu člověka k vlastní konečnosti. Přílohová část dokladuje v práci prezentované příklady pojetí umírání v dobových uměleckých dílech.
