Shrnutí Evropský bankovní dohled prosel v posledních letech velkými zmenami postupujícími od pouhe koordinace nastroju dohledu az po jejich integraci v jedne centralizovane instituci; Evropske centralní bance (ECB). Predlozena prace se zabýva nastroji bankovního dohledu v Evropske unii, s durazem na nastroje sverene ECB v ramci druheho pilíre bankovní unie; jednotneho mechanismu dohledu (SSM) a klade si za cíl jejich analýzu a výhodnocení jejich role v predchazení potencialních financních krizí. Vznik a vývoj bankovní unie uzce souvisí s menovou unií. Proto je první kapitola venovana vývoji menove integrace. Druha kapitola pojednava o institucionalním usporadaní dohledu na urovni Evropske unie, s durazem na deskripci organizace a fungovaní Evropske centralní banký, stojící v cele dohledu nad bankovním sektorem v ramci SSM. Dalsími institucemi, resp. agenturami, evropskeho bankovního dohledu jsou Evropský organ pro bankovní dohled (EBA) na mikroobezretnostní urovni a Evropska rada pro sýstemova rizika (ESRB) na makroobezretnostní urovni. Zaver druhe kapitolý je tedý venovan nejen popisu jejich slození a funkcí, ale take výjasnení nesrovnalostí ohledne kompetencí EBA, ESRB a ECB po vzniku SSM. Tretí kapitola obsahuje charakteristiku bankovního dohledu a jeho cílu z obecneho hlediska, tedý ne pouze z... European banking supervision has recently undergone major changes, through mere co-ordination of supervisory instruments, to the full integration of supervisory instruments in one centralized institution; European Central Bank (ECB). This master thesis deals with banking supervision instruments in the European Union while emphasises the instruments entrusted to the ECB under the second pillar of the banking union; the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) and aims to analyse and evaluate their role in preventing potential financial crises. The establishment and development of a banking union is closely linked to the monetary union. Therefore, the first chapter deals with the development of monetary integration. The second chapter of this master thesis deals with the institutional arrangements for supervision at the European Union level, with an emphasis on the description of the organization and functioning of the ECB, which is at the forefront of the supervision of the banking sector within SSM. Other institutions, or rather agencies, of the European banking supervision are European Banking Authority (EBA) at the micro-prudential level and European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) at the macro-prudential level.
