Endotoxin shock is the most severe complication of sepsis. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or endotoxin, a structural component of gram negative bacteria, is a major effector and can activate the innate immune system and lead to multiple organ failure, termed endotoxin shock. In our project we study the effect of intestinal microflora on the susceptibility to endotoxin using a model of germ-free and specific pathogen free mice Endotoxinový šok je nejzávažnější komplikace sepse. Lipolysacharid (LPS) nebo endotoxin, který je strukturální složkou gram negativních bakterií, je hlavní příčinou a může aktivovat imunitní systém a vést k mnohočetnému orgánovému selhání, které se nazývá endotoxinový šok. V našem projektu zkoumáme vliv střevní mikroflóry na citlivost k endotoxinu pomocí modelu bezmikrobních myší a myší prostých specifických patogenů
