Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vybranými aspekty konceptu aktivního stárnutí v kontextu vzdělávání na univerzitě třetího věku. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - první část se skládá ze čtyř kapitol a uvádí základní tematické celky (stáří a stárnutí, teoretické koncepty týkající se stáří a stárnutí, aktivní stárnutí) s využitím domácí i zahraniční literatury. Práce definuje pojmy stáří, stárnutí a senior, shrnuje související demografický vývoj a představuje univerzity třetího věku a jejich roli ve vzdělávání seniorů. Dále s využitím především zahraničních zdrojů představuje koncept aktivního stárnutí a jeho vývoj a tři další koncepty s aktivním stárnutím související (zdravé, úspěšné a produktivní stárnutí). Koncept aktivního stárnutí je pak přiblížen z pohledu jednotlivých mezinárodních organizací a následně jsou vymezeny jeho stěžejní aspekty. Druhá část práce obsahuje vlastní kvantitativní šetření mezi posluchači U3V a zaměřuje se na dříve vymezené aspekty, zejména na participaci na trhu práce, zapojení do pohybových aktivit, participaci na dobrovolnictví a další možnosti aktivního způsobu trávení volného času ve stáří. Sesbíraná data jsou vyhodnocena a následně interpretována. The thesis is divided into two parts - the first part consists of four chapters and presents basic thematic units (age and aging, theoretical concepts concerning age and aging, active aging) using domestic and foreign literature. The work defines the concepts of age, aging and older adult, summarizes related demographic contexts, and presents the Universities of the Third Age and their role in education of older adults. It also presents the concept of active aging and its development and three other concepts related to active aging (healthy, successful and productive aging) using mainly foreign sources. The concept of active aging is then brought closer to the point of view of several international organizations and, consequently, its key aspects are outlined. The second part of the thesis contains quantitative survey among students of the University of the Third Age and focuses on previously defined aspects, especially on participation in the labour market, participation in physical activities, participation in volunteering and other possibilities of active leisure time in old age.
