Diplomová práce se zabývá postavením žen a mužů na internetové sociální síti Instagram. Téma je nejprve popsáno z teoretického hlediska, kde je vysvětleno co je to web 2.0., co jsou to vlastně sociální sítě a jak internetové sociální sítě slouží naší socializaci do společnosti a naší sebeprezentaci. Dále jsou zde vysvětleny pojmy gender a genderové stereotypy. Vlastní výzkum se skládá ze tří částí. První částí je kvalitativní obrazová analýza tzv. "selfie" fotografií vybraných uživatelů Instagramu, která odkyla, že analyzované ženy na svém Instagramu podporují zažité genderové stereotypy v zobrazování žen a mužů, zatímco analyzovaní muži občas oscilují mezi maskulinitou a feminitou. Druhou částí je analýza počtu lajků pod těmito "selfie" fotografiemi a třetí částí je analýza hloubkových polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, která ukázala, že ženy a muži mají na Instagramu mnoho společného. Jejich postavení na této síti ale dle mé analýzy stejné není. This diploma thesis deals with the position of women and men on the Internet social network called Instagram. The theme is first described from a theoretical point of view, explaining what web 2.0 is, what social networks are and how social networking helps with our socialization to society and our self-presentation. In this part are also explained the concepts of gender and gender stereotypes. My own research consist of three parts. The first part is a qualitative image analysis of so-called "selfie" photos of selected Instagram users, which revealed, that the women that I analyzed supported gender stereotypes in female imaginary, while analyzed men occasionally oscillated between masculinity and femininity. The second part is the analysis of the number of the likes under these "selfie" photos and the third part is the analysis of deep semi-structured interviews, which showed that women and men have much in common on Instagram. But overall, their position on this network according to my analysis is not the same.
